Inspiring Conversations with Yonathan Rodriguez of MapScan (Contributor) / ONYX (Coming Soon) / CyberFlux

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yonathan Rodriguez.

Hi yonathan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with music(creating beats, producing tracks, and exploring sound as a form of expression). It was a creative outlet that taught me how to think in systems, build from nothing, and iterate until something resonated. That foundation shaped how I approach everything I build today.

As I got deeper into technology, I realized that the same principles that applied to music(automation, pattern recognition, efficiency) could be applied to building intelligent systems. I started developing web applications, integrating APIs, and automating business processes. It wasn’t just about coding; it was about solving real problems and making things work smarter, not harder.

One of the pivotal moments was being part of the acquisition of Guardian OS(a project that validated the work I’d been doing and showed me what was possible when you build something valuable). That experience taught me about scaling, positioning, and what it takes to bring a product to market.

Now, I’m contributing to MapScan, an agentic local SEO platform that’s revolutionizing how businesses optimize their online presence. It’s intelligent automation that handles the heavy lifting(no need for deep technical expertise). Just results.

I’m also building ONYX, a creative collective launching soon that explores the fusion of technology and artistic expression. It’s about creating something that resonates with digital culture and represents a new approach to creative content.

And then there’s CyberFlux(my personal agentic AI system that orchestrates my entire workflow). From development and project management to client work and deployment, it’s an evolving intelligence that adapts to how I work. It’s not a product(it’s my operational backbone).

What defines my approach is building systems that think, not just execute. I’m focused on creating intelligent automation that solves real problems.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges has been dealing with imposter syndrome—especially early on. When you’re building systems that feel ahead of where you think you should be, it’s easy to question whether you actually know what you’re doing. But I’ve learned that growth happens in that discomfort.

Being part of an acquisition with Guardian OS came with its own set of challenges. Navigating the complexities of valuation, positioning, and transition taught me a lot about what it takes to build something that others see value in. It’s not just about the product (it’s about the story, the market fit, and timing).

Another ongoing challenge is collaboration. When you’re building multiple projects simultaneously, finding the right people who understand the vision and can execute at the same level is tough. Not everyone operates in the same way, and aligning on execution style, pace, and standards requires constant communication and adjustment.

There’s also the challenge of staying focused. When you’re working on AI automation, creative projects, and client work all at once, it’s easy to spread yourself too thin. I’ve had to get better at prioritization and knowing when to say no—even to opportunities that sound interesting.

As you know, we’re big fans of MapScan (Contributor) / ONYX (Coming Soon) / CyberFlux. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

What are your plans for the future?
Building on the foundation of intelligent automation, I’m exploring the next evolution of agentic systems—integrating voice AI and video generation to create more natural, multi-modal interactions. The goal is to push beyond traditional interfaces and develop systems that can communicate and create across different mediums.

I’m particularly excited about expanding into open source contributions. There’s immense value in giving back to the community and helping accelerate projects that are building the infrastructure for the next generation of intelligent systems. Whether it’s contributing code, documentation, or helping scale existing solutions, I believe in collaborative innovation.

Future partnerships and collaborations are also on the horizon—connecting with other builders who are pushing boundaries in AI, automation, and creative technology. The landscape is evolving rapidly, and I’m focused on staying at the forefront while helping others navigate this transformation.

Ultimately, it’s about creating systems that solve real problems, scale intelligently, and empower businesses and individuals to operate more efficiently in an increasingly complex digital world.
