Hi Liam Lee, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Yes I am usually a think before act kind of guy so that is often helpful for me when dealing with tough situations.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Liam Lee Taylor a singer songwriter who mainly works in the folk, Americana and country genre of music whichever one you want to call it. I have many original songs that I’m in the process of getting ready to record as well as an acoustic EP I’m working on right now. I am also playing gigs to get my music more out there before I release my songs soon.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Selfishness breaks bonds between people. People getting too in their heads and worrying about themselves and how others perceive them is something that never ends well. So getting out of your own body mentally and putting your focus outward is more beneficial for everybody.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Embarrassment has in many ways. But nowadays not so much. Ive learned everything is embarrassing when you first start it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Many musicians are singing other people’s songs which to me makes no sense. I want to hear your words and your story not someone else’s. Except if it’s a cover of a popular song that’s fine.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What pain do you resist facing directly?
Self doubt is a big one especially since right now I don’t have a big following that is holding me up.
