We’re looking forward to introducing you to Beau Jacobson. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Beau, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes set the tone for the whole day. I sleep with my phone in another room so I have to get up to turn off my alarm at 3:43 am. Then, I start reading the devotional out loud so I can read it and my wife can hear it. I follow that up with prayer and then I start cooking breakfast while listening to a sermon or a podcast. By 5:30am we are out the door and off to the gym before an awesome day ahead.
I started this in my second day of the business, because some of the most important things I do daily are my devotional and workout (both with my wife) so that my spiritual and physical well being are taken care of with out interruption…. and who is going to interrupt at 3:43??
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Beau Jacobson, Partner at Sparks Financial, a Forbes Top 250 private wealth advisory firm. We help ambitious families, business owners, and executives define, build, and enjoy prosperous lives — not just in their finances, but in every area that matters most.
Our work sits at the intersection of purpose and prosperity; we build legacies. What started as a local advisory practice has grown into a multi-office, multi-billion-dollar firm recognized by Forbes, Barron’s, and Northwestern Mutual for excellence in planning, leadership, and growth.
On a personal note — my wife, Emma, and I call Aledo home. We’re expecting our first child and believe faith and family are the foundation of everything we build. Whether I’m designing financial strategies or shaping our next community initiative, my mission is simple: to honor God, love my family well, and help others live with the same intentionality.
At Sparks Financial, we like to say we don’t just manage wealth — we help people define, build and enjoy prosperous lives. That’s the legacy we’re creating every single day.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that shaped how I see the world came from one of the hardest chapters of my life — overcoming an eating disorder. It was a season that forced me to confront my identity, my worth, and where I was placing both.
Through that journey, 2 Corinthians 1:4 became real to me — the idea that God comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others in theirs. That verse changed everything. It reframed pain as purpose. It gave meaning to struggle.
That’s why I’m so mission-focused today. My life and my work are about helping people find peace and confidence — whether that’s in their finances, their families, or their faith. I learned that strength isn’t found in control, it’s found in surrender. And I want others to experience that same kind of freedom.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Dream no little dreams. I appreciate both my Mom and Dad so much for raising me to believe that I could do whatever I put my mind to. That level of confidence, love and support has been a driver for the success that has been given to me. I have no doubt that without that support growing up I wouldn’t be where I am today!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Oh, for sure. I am 100% genuine in and out of the office. Now, if you saw me during the weekend… you would see that I actually have outfits that don’t require a suit and tie. However, I don’t think you would see much different in who I am. Purpose driven, sports loving, Sinatra singing, visionary that strives to what what best supports others and my family.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I carry a lot of self-induced pressure because my grandparents have left a HUGE legacy. My grandfather was a founding physician that started North Hills Hospital and my grandmother started Texans for Reagan in the 1960s, became friends with the President and his wife and was able to make a massive difference in people’s lives. I so admire and respect their drive to make a difference that I hope to do the same. I do not need my name in lights but I hope everyone around me, including family and friends, know how important they are to me and how I will work relentlessly to make a lasting impact that lives well beyond my time on earth,
