Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Cody Grubbs of Fort Worth

We recently had the chance to connect with Cody Grubbs and have shared our conversation below.

Cody, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is being at a sporting event capturing photos.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a current college student and student creative intern in the athletics department at the University of North Texas. I am also currently a freelance photographer, recently I have done work LPGA,PGA,LIV Golf,MLS,FC Dallas, MLS Next Pro,American Conference, Conference USA, Undrafted, Texas Dave Campbell’s Football Magazine. I am also a Ambassador for Think Tank.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
Austyn McFadden, the Owner of Undrafted. And I say that because, he has given me the capability to get real world experience in sports that your average college student doesn’t get.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It taught me that if you keep trying and putting in the effort, good things will come.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I would have to say my friend Kj, and that’s because he has help show me many things in the media/photography industry that I have never know.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m at a sporting event taking photos, because I grew up playing sports and iv always enjoyed it.
