Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Csauve of Dallas

We recently had the chance to connect with Csauve and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Csauve , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing alignment more than anything — that feeling where what I’m thinking, what I’m feeling, and what I’m creating all line up. I’m not really chasing fame as much as I’m chasing truth in my music and growth as a person.

If I stopped chasing altogether, I think I’d still make music. Honestly, it would probably get quieter, more private again. But I don’t think I’d feel fulfilled. The chase keeps me honest. It forces me to listen to myself, to evolve, to not get comfortable. Without it, I’d just be existing — and I’m not built for that.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Csauve . I make music that comes from how I feel — R&B, a little nostalgic, a little modern, just honest. Honestly, I usually make it for me first, and then it’s wild when other people vibe with it, because I never expected anyone to really listen.
Right now, I’m just in that creative space where I let ideas happen like my Christmas EP, I made that in a couple of days, just letting it flow. I’m always thinking about what’s next, what feels right, how to keep growing. For me, it’s not about numbers or clout; it’s about making something real that people can feel in their own way.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Honestly, it was my photographer someone I’ve known for a minute, Kendal @HOUR25. One day, she really listened to my music and asked me what I was trying to say. At first, it felt kind of weird, because I usually make music just for me.

But then I realized she saw it before I even fully did. She felt the vibe, the energy — all of it. And honestly, moments like that stick with you. It’s like… okay, my art’s real, and someone I trust really gets it.

Oh, and by the way, all the shots you see throughout this interview? Those are actually hers, so huge shout-out to her

When did you last change your mind about something important?
Honestly, that happened pretty recently with my Christmas EP. I was only planning to drop one song, trying to control how it all should sound. But I just let the energy guide me, and before I knew it, I had three songs in a couple of days.

I realized I don’t have to control everything — letting it flow made it feel way more real. And I really hope you guys, all my listeners, like it.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?

Honestly… I believe energy and intention actually land with people, even if I can’t prove it. Like, I put out a song, vibe with it, and somewhere out there, someone’s probably feeling exactly what I was feeling… or just dancing awkwardly in their kitchen.

I can’t measure it, I can’t prove it, but I know it’s happening. And honestly, that’s enough for me — invisible magic, basically.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely… I give my best even when no one’s watching. Sometimes that means making a song at 2 AM that only my dog listens to, or spending hours tweaking a beat just because it feels right, even if nobody’s gonna notice.

But that’s the point it’s not about the praise, it’s about holding yourself to your own standard and making something you can actually feel proud of. And honestly, half the time, it ends up landing with someone anyway… even if it’s just that one person dancing awkwardly in their kitchen.
