Hi LeLe & Hortensia , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Meditation and I think of 5 things I’m grateful for everyday
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Hortensia but I’m known as LeLe I’m a social media marketing manager with Lyk Promotions I provide marketing for the entertainment industry I work with international reggae Legends like Sizzla Kalonji and many more I’m currently starting a new project called KICKS FOR YOUTH NATION and we specialize in collecting brand new shoes for the youth ages from newborn to 19 years old all over the world. * Our mission is to help underprivileged youth around the world by gifting them with a brand new pair of shoes for school or to play sports! We believe by blessing the youth it will help build confidence and have a positive impact in their lives.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Overcoming a domestic violence relationship moving away and leaving everything behind and starting over, healing and now knowing my worth!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I’m strong!! Suffering taught me how to live and how to survive! Through my pain and struggles i learned my strength and how strong i really am and I can overcome anything life throws at me
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Donating shoes to the youth! I remember being in long lines with my children when they were small to get shoes and clothes when we were struggling. I remember they always had shoes for the babies but never for the kids up to 19 years old that’s why it is important to me to get this mission done no matter how long it takes! I have a goal to collect 100 pairs!!!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Stop working and get myself out of the Babylon system!
