Lyndsey Morgan shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Lyndsey , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My days start early! I begin every day with a 5 am workout followed by a long walk with my dog. It is a great way to get in some me time each morning.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Lyndsey Morgan and I am the owner of Neat Method Frisco. Neat Method is North America’s largest home organizing company, with franchise owners coast to coast and a client list that spans from busy families to A-list celebrities. But our mission remains the same—creating clarity for life, one space at a time.
We provide a luxury organizing experience that offers everything from single space organizing to full-scale move and relocation services.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I don’t have a specific moment but rather, a collection of moments that I experienced while traveling the world. I love to travel and believe that it is the best form of education. There is no better way to learn about other cultures, cuisines and ways of life than to experience them yourself. Growing up in the suburbs of Dallas, I only had one, very small viewpoint of life. I was raised to believe that you graduate, get married, have kids and live happily ever after. It wasn’t until I started traveling internationally that I learned that is not the only way one can approach life. It really gave me the confidence to take chances and walk my own path. Ultimately I believe that’s what lead me to take a leap and start a business.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
TRUST YOURSELF. There are so many opinions and voices in the world these days. It’s easy for your judgment to be clouded and for imposter syndrome to take over. Trust your gut, even when others don’t see the vision. You are capable of so much more that you even know.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I think it’s so important to be yourself at all times. That is where you will find your biggest wins and form life-long relationships.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I believe strongly in work/life balance and that no one gets a gold metal for being busy. I take pride in the success of my business but it is not my whole life and certainly not my biggest priority in life. I very much prioritize my personal time and have learned that saying no isn’t a hard as you think.
