Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Natalie Richardson of DFW Metroplex

We recently had the chance to connect with Natalie Richardson and have shared our conversation below.

Natalie, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes, I would hire me. I truly care about people and the work I do. I lead with kindness, patience and consideration and strive to do everything in excellence. I’m a good listener and understand the importance of being a team player. Not only do I get the job done but also value creating a positive and supportive environment for others.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’ve always loved fashion. As a child, I would sketch, color, design clothing and create paper cut-outs that I sold for ten cents at school. My approach to styling is unique, it blends my clients personality with mine to offer a custom style specific to them. This is how I created the name of my brand “PerSoNatalie Style & Design”. My goal is to help bring each clients personality through what they wear. My mission is to elevate personal style in a way that feels authentic, creative, and true to each individual. My motto is: Where style meets personality.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was confident. As a child I simply went for things without hesitation. I didn’t feel the need to prove myself, I unapologetically leaned into my creativity and passions. Back then, I wasn’t afraid of judgment or comparison; I pursued opportunities boldly and without reservation. Over time, especially in college, the voices of others grew louder, and I found myself becoming more hesitant. But that fearless, go-getter version of me never disappeared, she’s still inside, and I’ve learned she’s still worth fighting for. Every day, I push past those inferior thoughts to reclaim the Natalie I once was, and I’m proud to say I’m winning again.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain when the Lord revealed that what I’ve been enduring in my marriage was emotional abuse. It pulled me out from hiding behind religious activity and into honest accountability. I accepted that people only change if they choose to and started telling my family, the truth about what was happening instead of shielding them so they wouldn’t worry. Naming my reality turned my pain into power: power to set boundaries, to heal, and to help others. Today, I’m honest about how I’m really doing, taking it one day at a time, and I’m winning.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
The ideas I rely on most that aren’t my own come from the Lord. I lean on the Holy Spirit for EVERYTHING. For guidance and inspiration regarding my fashion choices, finances, parenting style, and every area of my life. His wisdom always surpasses my own, and I’ve learned that when I pause, seek Him, and listen, He gives me direction that brings clarity, creativity, and peace. The Holy Spirit truly has the best ideas.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in nature. The sounds, the sun, and the wind bring me into a place of calm where I can slow down, focus, and simply be. Surrounded by creation allows me to feel closer to God, it’s a place of healing for me. Even something as simple as watching butterflies reminds me of His beauty and presence.
