Hi Sharonda, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Attending football games with my 12 year old son.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sharonda Reeves-Smith, and I’m the founder of Connect Credit Consultants LLC, a financial empowerment brand dedicated to helping everyday families rebuild their credit, understand consumer laws, and step confidently into homeownership. What makes my brand special is that it was birthed from my own journey—from a 524 credit score, a single mother raising a 3-year-old son who dreamed of having his own room, a backyard, and a dog, to becoming a two-time homeowner.
Growing up in a low-economy neighborhood in Texas and being raised by a single mother who instilled the importance of homeownership, I learned early that financial literacy changes everything. Today, my brand blends education, strategy, and faith to show families that where you start does not define where you can go. I’m passionate about breaking generational cycles, creating affordable pathways to homeownership, and teaching families how to build true generational wealth.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my circle through networking, building meaningful connections, and collaborating with other leaders in credit, finance, real estate, and community development. My goal is simple: to reach more families, create bigger impact, and continue growing a network that supports financial empowerment and homeownership education nationwide.

My Mother.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes — and it’s the same way I listen to my clients. Someone once gave me the space to speak my truth without judgment, and it changed me. That’s why I make sure my clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Sometimes being truly listened to is the first step to a new beginning.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely — what you see is what you get. The same woman you see online motivating, teaching, and helping my clients is the same woman at home. I don’t switch up. I’m real about my wins, my struggles, my faith, and my story. My clients get the authentic me every time, because the realest version of me is the one that does the most good.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
They’d miss my heart. My transparency. My “let’s get through this together” energy. My clients always say they feel seen, heard, and supported with me — not judged. They’d miss the way I break things down so they can actually understand credit, the way I cheer for their wins like they’re my own, and the way I never give up on them. They’d miss having someone who truly cares and walks with them every step of the way.
