Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Wolf McNeil of Duncanville

We recently had the chance to connect with Wolf McNeil and have shared our conversation below.

Wolf, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Fishing, man. It’s like a new found passion. I literally fish almost every day now.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Wolf. I am a tattoo artist from Dallas, Tx. My tattoo name is GoldFangs Ink. When you come get a tattoo from me, you’re also getting a therapy session as well as a great time. If I’m not tattooing, I’m gone fishing, haha. I’ve been tattooing since 2023, but my love for the ink has been around since I could remember

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My nana, Alice Lee Vining. God rest her soul.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That no matter how many people love you, all you got is yourself at the end of the day. It’s up to you to change your outcome

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say so. I think I am more goofy outside of the public though.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Most of the time actually. I’ve come to learn that material things don’t really bring happiness
