Terra&Co. was launched two years ago. Terra & Co.’s mission is to create natural, non-toxic, green and cruelty-free personal care products while empowering women, by giving back and inspiring them to live their best lives. Terra & Co. is a Los Angeles based, woman-owned, company conceptualized and founded by two sisters, Amra & Azra. So many oral care products on the market today are filled with chemicals so they wanted to create natural but highly effective ethically made oral care products. Their products are made in the USA and they are 100% vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free.
When they created Terra&Co., they always had an idea of creating a business that gives back. Their toothpaste is “Buy One Give One” model. For each toothpaste bought at terraandco.com, they donate one to Downtown Women’s Shelter in L.A.
Has it been a smooth road?
Starting any business, especially based on new ideas is never a smooth road. Each day is a learning process and it continues to be a learning process as we grow and face new challenges every day, but it only gets more interesting, too.
We would suggest any women stick to her ideas and keep it up. You might come across discouragement and people suggesting you to change your ways. Stay true to your vision and find support and inspiration in other women-owned businesses.

We are proud of creating oral products that are ethical and proud to reduce plastic toothbrush pollution as well. Our toothbrush is made out of bamboo, which is a fastest growing plant on the planet and once you’re ready to replace your toothbrush, place your old bamboo toothbrush into a compost because it is 100% biodegradable.
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
Don’t follow crowds. We are all so very unique and your ideas are too, follow them.
