Today we’d like to introduce you to Javier Burkle.
Burkle creative is an international design firm that focuses on uniting old and new creating warm and chic spaces that exude sophistication and timeless style. The Texas-based firm focuses on residential and commercial interior design, with projects throughout the United States and Mexico.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth journey, it’s been a great experience but not easy. Just like everything else, if it’s worth it will require work. Every project brings its own challenges and that’s what makes it exciting. I think the most important thing with every struggle is always looking at the big picture and try to do your best, and it will always pay off. I try to always keep my sense of beauty and balance as centers of my projects and in the end, it always works to make spaces that your clients will love.

I do everything from renovations to just accessorizing and I make details on any project. I specialize in combining high and lows. I am a true believer that not every piece needs to be a show stopper but instead, it has to have a purpose and a sense of beauty in the space. I love working with clients that have items that mean something to them to bring character and history to space. I think that’s what makes my brand unique, the fact that I love incorporating new to what people already love in their homes. I am proud that people can recognize my work because of the way I layer and balance a room. It’s all about making unique spaces with beauty and a purpose.
What advice would you give to someone at the start of their career?
A piece of advice that my dad always gave me was to be consistent. You don’t always have to be the best or always make it perfect just be consistent and work as hard as you can and it will always pay off. Believe in yourself and find your persona, people don’t want something that already is out there so make it your own!
