Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not! For me, my main struggle was figuring out how to successfully balance working a full-time job, running two businesses, while not dropping the ball on my responsibilities as a mother and wife. It was a challenge, but it was definitely worth it. For me, I have always believed that “if it can be done, I can do it.” I have always been competitive and that competitive nature developed when I was in kindergarten at field day.
My advice to young women who want to become entrepreneurs is to research, study, and learn everything possible about the particular industry that you want to enter. Always think of ways to innovate a process, service, or product. Lastly, invest in yourself and your business.

I am the owner of Infinity Tax and Accounting, Inc, a boutique accounting and consulting firm that specializes in bookkeeping, tax planning, tax preparation, and business consulting. I primarily work with entrepreneurs and small businesses to streamline their finances and reduce their tax liabilities. In addition, I offer tax resolution services for clients who owe back taxes and tax planning services in which I customize plans to strategically reduce a client’s overall taxes.
I pride myself on offering tailored services to clients to fit their unique financial situation. Every client is different in some aspect, so I like to learn as much as possible about a client, their business, and their future plan to assist them with their financial goals.
There’s a wealth of academic research that suggests that lack of mentors and networking opportunities for women has materially affected the number of women in leadership roles. Smart organizations and industry leaders are working to change this, but in the meantime, do you have any advice for finding a mentor and building a network?
I advise every entrepreneur and career individual to find a mentor. Not only is it important to have a mentor in your field, but also to have a mentor who has been successful with navigating life. Keep in mind that success is not only defined by financial wealth, but it is also defined by the ability to persevere and conquer obstacles.
As for networking, I feel that it is highly important. I love to attend networking events to meet new people and to learn about their businesses. I love connecting, referring, and collaborating with other business owners. Networking doesn’t always mean you will get a deal or collaborate with someone, but you may be able to refer one of your contacts. I am a strong proponent of increasing your network to increase your net worth.
