Today we’d like to introduce you to Niki Minaya.
Niki, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After being overlooked for a Senior corporate management position in Human Resources, I decided to step out on faith to pursue my dreams in the beauty industry this year. Since I could remember, I have always wanted to open my own business.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I would definitely say it has not been a smooth road but who would expect it to be. My biggest struggle being new to the industry is building my clientele, I think most professionals would say early on in their Entrepreneurship. My advice that I would give women particularly young women who are starting their journey is to never give up. I think about my business every day that I wake up. When I feel any type of doubt, I look at my vision board and speak the words out loud that I want to manifest. You are your biggest advocate.

Well, I specialize in microblading, Lash extensions eyelash eyebrow tinting, facials (microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, chemical peels).
I would say that my brand is still growing. My goal is to build a brand that is memorable to others.
What sets me apart from others is the client experience. It’s more about building a long-lasting relationship with the client. It is about understanding my client needs before they even speak it. Having 12 years of human resources experience and a Masters Degree has taught me to be able to actively listen and hone in on the client needs.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
What was instilled in me at a young age was to work hard and be a senior level position of a company. Since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to move to my own beat and live a life of peace and pure happiness in all aspects of my life.
My success is not only for me but also for my son. I want him to see that he can be more than a corporate professional he can be anything in this world. Dreams do come true.
