So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always loved making people look and feel beautiful and I’ve always wanted to work for myself. After working for someone else for a long time and feeling limited to what I was doing, I was not very happy, so one day, I decided to go on my own and do what makes me happy that’s how pretty brows studio was created. My business is less than a year old, but I’ve grown so much as a business and as a person it really amazes me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m a very hard working, consistent and positive person, so that is why I feel like for me it has been a smooth ride. For young women who are just starting the journey, I would say work hard, stay positive, listen to people whether they have good or bad things to say and also don’t just think about making money, think about creating a good reputation, treat other people like you would want to be treated that is when I think you will become successful.
Please tell us about Pretty brows studio.
I’m an esthetician and I specialize in threading, waxing and lash services, I will add more services in the future but the service I’ve known most for is my threading services. I have clients drive over an hour just to get their brows threaded by me. As a service provider, I’m most proud of is my work, I’m always consistent and try to do my best job and I think the thing that sets me apart from others is I genuinely care for my clients, my business is not just about making money but about offering the best service my clients want. I take my time when I’m working on my clients and my clients always thank me for that.
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
The most important piece of advice I could give to a young woman just starting her career is that work hard and always believes in yourself.
