Today we’d like to introduce you to Rani Alfers.
Rani, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started in Lake Charles, LA. I grew up in a working-class family that allowed my independent spirit to blossom. My mother suffered from mental illness and I saw the impact it had on our household when she was unable to maintain employment. At a very early age, it was clear that I wanted my own business one day. One that would create stability and build wealth for my family and other families. After pestering my dad for an allowance, he instead showed me how I could earn my own money. Coupled with a lesson in the power of compounding your earnings to earn more, I was ready to work! I loved it and saved almost everything I earned from that day forward.
After college and living abroad for a year, traveling and working were my two passions. Starting a business in college, growing another business after that and then opening an Insurance Agency in Dallas, TX.
Now, my son Carter and I enjoy the “work hard, play hard” lifestyle. I’ve recently launched a travel blog to inspire women like myself, that it is possible to balance work and find the freedom to travel. This journey is only beginning. My personal growth, being a mother, leader and friend are the steps on my trail.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road. If someone tells you it has been, they aren’t telling the truth. I’ve been through many tribulations in life, like most people; death, divorce, friends changing, relationships change, and financial setbacks. Obstacles can occur In times of great success or failure. Face them with confidence. Be fluid, move on to plan B, C or D. Lastly, focus on your reactions. The sooner you can build a higher level of emotional intelligence, the further it will take you in life.
Concentrate on your Bull’s-eye. Learn to let the hundreds of other things that pull you away from it go. This single most important skill will silence the noise in times of uncertainty and bring the peace of mind that is necessary to continue your passion.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Rani Alfers Agency – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I own a Farmers Insurance Agency, in Dallas, TX. We help Individuals and businesses protect their hard-earned assets from risk. We offer a wide range of plans to cover the most unique assets to the most common. Working with a variety of clients from newly married couples to retirees and innovative entrepreneurs. Most people don’t have a relationship with their Agency, we want to change that. Yes- we have online capability, but the advice and guidance we give can be a game-changer when a large claim, lawsuit or devastation strikes.
What is different about working with our Agency, is the experience you have when speaking to one of our professionals. We educate, advise and go above and beyond to make you feel good about your insurance solutions.
My team is an exceptional group of professionals, they make me proud daily because I trust them and you should too. If there is anyone out there that knows what it’s like to work hard for something and not want to lose it to a claim, it’s me.
