Life & Work with Alexander Boyd of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander Boyd.

Hi Alexander , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started with a 2011 A$AP Rocky music video. I must’ve been 9 at the time but I’ll never forget the feeling of, “this is what i wanna be”. The swag. the visuals, the message of rebellion through the finer things always intrigued me and from that point on i knew I wanted to be known for art. Fast forward to today I’ve modeled for magazines , brands , done commercial shoots and am working on my debut album.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been highs and lows , I think the point is to see the lows as fuel and to bounce back with even more energy. Some struggles I faced personally was just accepting the fact that it’s okay to not be okay , and learning to put that into the arts. It’s a day by day thing , but it’s a good habit

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I model , act , creative direct , and sing. I’m more known for my modeling but my music is what keeps me going. I’m most proud of my ability to make things look good and not be ashamed of that. It’s what puts me in my own lane while still delivering influence and non conformity through sound and visual expression.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite child hood memory wow , let’s go back to New York , home. Just eating good pizza and walking the streets is forever in my heart. Seeing everyday bizarre venues of expression always inspired me. As vague as it sounds it’s the little things that make the big picture and it’s what provides a center for me whenever I can get creative blockages or what not y’know?
