Life & Work with Alysa Nguyen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysa Nguyen.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve had a few people asked me on why I started a food or how did I get the idea of starting one. My manager and previous roommate encourage me to create a food blog to share all the places and foods that I’ve eaten. At first, I was starting out just for fun, as time passed by my food blog page grew very consistent, with my food blog was growing I was excited that people are interested in what and where I go to eat which motivates me to do more consistent posts.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road to where I am today nor was it easy, it took patience and consistency on my blog to catch other viewers’ interests. I started just having friends following me for support to having over 700+ foodie friends, with patience, consistency, and determination I’m able to get my blog to where it is at today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently a nursing student working on my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, alongside of working on my nursing degree, I’m also a part-time Certified Pharmacy Technician. As life gets busy and hectic, I take time to remind myself to take a moment to breathe and reset. I’m just your average nursing student with a part-time trying to survive throughout the semester of school, on occasions I go eat and try new things, or just whip up a meal I saw on TikTok. My most proud moment would be my loyalty and dedication on what I choose to do, whether it’s a temporary job or a side hobby such as my food blog, I put my time and dedication to turn it into something that I want it to be and don’t stop even when I reach the goal that I set for myself, I reach for higher and as far as I can. I’m the girl that anything relates to food I’m down for, 2 am donut run? okay, I’ll come with you. I don’t want to miss anything that life has to offer me alongside of showing people my full potential on whatever I choose to do.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned with my food blog journey is patience, dedication, and consistency. I started with just my friends following me to hundreds of people around the states supporting me on my blog and more to come. I put in the dedication on growing my food blog, I stay consistent on my posts and activity, and I patiently wait for the growth. My growth didn’t happen overnight, I patiently waited and build myself up to where I am today.
