Life & Work with Amanda Ravetta

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Amanda Ravetta again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Amanda, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
While being a wife to Mark and mother to Luke (15) and Eli (11 with Down syndrome) are my most cherished rolls… Being a Top Producing Realtor for Coldwell Banker Apex for all 8 years of my real estate agent career has been nothing short of amazing. I love helping people who might think owning a home is beyond their reach, buy their first home. Or helping someone who’s ready to upgrade take their equity earnings from their current home and apply it to the “next level” home. No matter the need or reason for buying & selling, it is always an honor to be the one chosen from (especially considering how many agents are out there) to help make that happen.

I have a goal of being the best customer service experience a client has ever experienced out of all of the customer service experiences, no matter if its big like a new roof or small like checking out at the grocery store. If any of my clients are ever asked “who provided the best customer service you’ve ever had”, and the answer isn’t “Amanda Ravetta with Ravetta Home Team”, I have failed. I believe the level of service I provide sets me apart from so many other agents.

Referrals are the heart of my business. I buy no leads, making every client I have authentically generated. Knowing all of my successes are because of others supporting us and our business, we are always humbled with massive amounts of gratitude.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Since our last time together, I have broken all kinds of personal & company records in big ways. Did 57 deals in 2024 totaling a number in total sales bigger than my wildest imaginations. My oldest turned 15 and is now driving with a learners permit. My youngest (the one with DS) is talking more and more and has made some sweet friendships of both special needs friends and typical ones. My husband is excelling in his mortgage business (as he always does). And we have taken some amazing trips to Italy, Boston, Canada, a Disney Cruise and so much more.

But the biggest change is the addition of an agent, Tyler Gebert, to Ravetta Home Team. She joined in July and hit the ground running in September. And in our first year (which was really only half a year with her) we were the number 2 team for the whole company, Coldwell Banker Apex. With a company having over 1400 agents across 23 offices, being the 39th largest real estate company in the US; achieving #2 company wide astounds us.

Life is good. We are blessed exponentially more than we deserve and we are all so very thankful.

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

  • Favorite Movie: Princess Bride
  • Favorite TV Show: Firefly Lane
  • Favorite Band or Artist: Dave Matthews Band
  • Sweet or Savory: popcorn with M&Ms
  • Mountains or Beach: Mountains
  • Favorite Sport (to watch): Auburn Football or the one my kid is playing.
  • Favorite Sport (to play): Lets be honest, I was too cool for sports by being in the band…lol.
  • As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up: a stay at home mom.
  • French Fries or Onion Rings: thin fries, otherwise onion rings.
  • Chuck Rhodes or Bobby Axelrod: I had to google this. I loved the actor that played Bobby in “Life”. So for that reason I will pick him, but I have never watched Billions.
  • Favorite Cartoon growing up: Tom & Jerry
  • Favorite Childhood movie: Princess Bride
  • Favorite Breakfast Food: the pastries….mmmm.

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
1. I am most proud of my marriage. I was 28 when I met my husband thinking I was going to be an old maid. Having tried to find the right one so hard and none actually panning out. But in 2004, when the man of my dreams walked into my office to be a new co-worker, my life forever changed. There were so many Mr. Wrongs I could have married simply because of the pressure a girl puts on herself to be married at a certain age. I am so thankful I waited for Mr. Perfect. Marriage isn’t always easy, but our marriage almost feels “too easy”. He is my best friend, he feels like home. I can’t imagine doing life with anyone other than him.
2. Being a mom. It is so rewarding, fun and hard all rolled up into one.
-Luke (15) is turning into a young man we are so very proud of. He works hard at doing the things that he feels would make God most proud. And for that we are parents who are beaming.
-Eli (11 with DS) has a much different story. When he was born, we were heartbroken to learn he wasn’t “perfect”. I share all about that on FB (Raising Eli) and Insta (@RaisingEli2013). His diagnosis put me personally into a depression that I didn’t know could actually exist. But in that first year of figuring it all out we have learned that we are the lucky ones to have Eli in our family. We wouldn’t “fix” him for anything in the world. I was the one that needed fixed. His joy is pure. His love for others oozes from him. Doing life with him is such a big blessing.
3. Work. When I started this “job” over 9 years ago, I was certain nobody would trust me enough to use me. Boy was I wrong. The referrals that come in constantly and the clients using me over and over, is nothing short of amazing. I can’t believe the levels I have achieved, the personal goals I have crushed. And the joy I get to experience in helping people achieve their dreams and goals. Its so rewarding and such an honor.
