Life & Work with Angela Walsh

Hi Angela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been a voracious reader and writer. I entered school early, and graduated early. I went on to pursue a degree in education, with an emphasis on early childhood development and reading. I have 24 years of teaching under my belt, and for the past twelve years I’ve dedicated my time to writing and publishing my own works, as well as offering coaching and publishing services to others.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing worth having is ever easy. My first book was almost lost when my laptop died. Thankfully, I had backup on my Google drive and was able to complete it on my iPhone! The biggest hurdle has been marketing and promotion. I’m not a salesperson at all. I just pray that my books will find the people that need them. One day, I’d love to be able to live solely off my writing and coaching.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My focus at the moment is helping others from creation to publication. I will walk an author through every step and teach them the skills and knowledge necessary to finish a project and self publish. Let’s be honest, anyone can do this, but not everyone can do it well. It takes patience and consistency to learn this craft.

At the moment, I’m most known for my ability to write autobiographies. Two years ago, I helped write and publish an extremely successful one, and last year I published my own memoir. What sets me apart is the attention to detail and the caring I put into each book and author.

What does success mean to you?
I’m not motivated by money and accolades. Success is when someone tells me they saw themselves in my stories, that I touched them deeply, or that something I had written made a real difference in their lives. If I can impact one person, then I am successful.
