Today we’d like to introduce you to Anjanette Johnson

Hi Anjanette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Started braiding when I was a teenager and when I had daughters people asked me to braid there babies hair. One of my associates tagged me in a post back in 2014 a lady was looking for braider in her shop and I started working there and she showed me how to retwist Locs and from there I began my journey on doing hair

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it has been a bumpy road running my own business. I have 5 kids and single parent when I started and everyplace I went my kids went building a brand and clientele when I left shop was the hardest thing but I stayed down till I came up and I still struggle from time to time but I have learned to incorporate different things to my business to stay busy

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a natural stylist I specialize in braids Locs and natural hair. I am known for Locs I am fast and proficient in my craft. I am most proud of how much I have grown in my business and all the new methods and ways of styling Locs and natural hair. What sets me apart from others is that I dare to be different I try everyday to be my super self being creative and bring joy and beauty to all my clients

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes always be safe and take care of yourself. Being safe and sanitary in salon
