Life & Work with Anthony Doyle of South DFW – Alvarado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Doyle.

Hi Anthony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, my name is Anthony, owner of Clean Customs Of Texas, a custom automotive shop in DFW. I started working in the automotive industry doing window tinting at 17 years old, back in the mid 90’s. I’ve always loved anything with wheels growing up. Started racing bikes at an early age & quickly got into customizing them. That of course led into cars & trucks as I grew up. Over the years I worked for different shops in the DFW area, gaining knowledge & building relationships along the way.
I knew I wanted to start my own custom automotive shop early on. I’m a diehard car guy, so it only made sense to do what I love. I believe that is the key to success, doing what you love, or have a burning passion for!
Entering the world of entrepreneurship in your early 30’s definitely has its challenges, but lessons were learned & experience gained…
Fast forward to 2021 & Clean Customs Of Texas was founded. With a new passion & even more experience, we set out to open a shop that stands apart from the average window tint/ car audio/ wiring shop. With perfectionism at the top of the list, we cater to customers that are looking for that extra touch. A shop you can trust with your pride & joy. A shop that goes the extra mile in the pursuit of perfection. A shop that has a passion for cars.
The industry has changed quite a bit over the past 30 years. Definitely had to change things up & reevaluate a time or two along the way, but my main vision has stayed the same. “Quality Work, Quality Products, & Excellent Customer Service.”
I’ve been blessed with great customers & cool cars to work on. Hopefully some of my work inspires the next generation to get out & make life what you want.
Thanks to this great community we call DFW for all the support! Blessed to be a part of the great state of Texas.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In my experience entrepreneurship is never a smooth road. Always having ups & downs along the way. You really have to be all in & give it 100% all the time. Are there days I wish I hadn’t chosen this route? Absolutely, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t change a thing. Everything is constantly evolving, so as soon as you get it figured out, life throws a curve ball & you have to regroup. I guess my main struggle early on was balancing business & family life. That was tuff, but eventually found an even ground that seemed to work for us.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Honestly, I believe that automotive customization is an art form. You meet someone, see their car, get an idea of what they are looking for, & you get to create that look or sound they want. As a lifelong perfectionist, I enjoy exceeding expectations. Window tinting is our specialty, but over the years we’ve gotten involved with building many aspects of show cars & restomod vehicles. Our attention to detail & the willingness to go the extra mile is what I feel sets us apart from the other shops.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was the quiet kid. I’ve always enjoyed anything with wheels. Skateboards, bikes, gocarts, etc… Loved taking stuff apart & customizing everything. Nothing was safe, lol. My mom used to get so mad at me for taking brand new stuff apart & changing it around to my liking.
