Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey in the floral industry began in Miami, Florida, where I worked for three years. That experience gave me a solid foundation in floral handling and design, as well as a deep understanding of the operational side of the business. Although I wasn’t yet working in events at that time, it was there that I discovered my passion for floral design and envisioned building something of my own.
In 2022, I launched Ari’s Florals, my own business specializing in floral styling for events. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of completing over 75 contracts, including birthdays, social gatherings, corporate events, baby showers, gender reveals, and—my absolute favorites—weddings.
My approach combines artistic sensibility, attention to detail, and strategic planning. At Ari’s Florals, we believe flowers do more than decorate—they tell stories, evoke emotions, and transform spaces.
Today, I proudly lead this growing business, with a clear vision to keep creating floral experiences that are memorable, personalized, and truly impactful.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all—it’s been a beautiful journey, but definitely not always smooth.
Like any entrepreneur starting a business from the ground up, I’ve faced many challenges. In the early days of Ari’s Florals, one of the biggest struggles was managing everything on my own—from client communication and design proposals to sourcing materials and handling logistics. It was overwhelming at times, but it taught me how to stay organized, trust my instincts, and grow step by step.
Another challenge has been navigating the seasonal nature of the event industry. There are months filled with back-to-back weddings and events, and others that are quieter. Learning how to adapt, plan ahead, and manage resources during both the highs and the lows has been key.
Also, as a creative business, finding the balance between artistic expression and the business side—like pricing, contracts, and timelines—was a learning curve. But every challenge pushed me to grow, both personally and professionally.
What keeps me going is the passion I have for what I do. Seeing the reactions of clients, especially on such important days in their lives, makes every long night and hard decision worth it.
