Hi Barbara, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi! I’m Barbara Lamont, and I’m the proud founder of Orquidea Marketing. Opening a marketing agency has always been a dream of mine, one I envisioned achieving in the distant future. Thankfully, with hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of my family, I was able to make this dream a reality much sooner than expected. I’m incredibly grateful for this journey and excited about what’s to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not really. As an immigrant, the possibility of going to college and graduating seemed slim. There were many people who doubted I’d make it to college, let alone graduate. Despite these challenges, I worked hard, supported my mom, and pulled myself up. I took on many leadership roles in school, which helped me grow as a leader and build valuable connections for my future.
As I approached graduation, I struggled with impostor syndrome, often feeling uncertain and lacking the confidence to reach out to companies because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Eventually, I realized that I wanted to start my own agency right away. Even though it was scary, I decided to take the risk. Looking back, it’s all been worth it—I’m building my dream at a young age, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you so much! I offer a wide range of digital marketing services, including creating marketing strategies for businesses, social media content creation, website development, branding, ads, and much more. My goal is to help businesses grow and thrive in the digital space by providing comprehensive and tailored solutions.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I have a dream within my marketing agency to create or collaborate with causes that advocate for children and protect the environment. Social work is very important to me, and I aspire to contribute to a better future by supporting these causes.
