Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Agbor.
Hi Brian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The Dapper Men Company began as a personal frustration that turned into a lifelong calling. Years ago, while preparing for a major occasion, I struggled to find a suit that truly reflected who I was — something tailored, timeless, and made with intention. That experience opened my eyes to a larger issue: too many men, especially in our communities, lacked access to quality custom tailoring and education on personal presentation.
With over a decade in sales, education, and behavioral development, I understood the deeper psychology of confidence and first impressions. I wanted to merge that understanding with fashion — not just to sell suits, but to help men become their best, most refined selves. That’s how The Dapper Men Company was born.
What started as a small, self-funded project has grown into a movement — blending style, mentorship, and purpose. Today, we design made-to-measure suits and tuxedos that rival luxury labels, while also using fashion to empower youth and families through The Dapper Promise Foundation. Every piece we create tells a story of confidence, culture, and class — reminding the world that being “dapper” isn’t just about how you dress, but how you carry yourself, serve others, and leave your mark.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all — the road has been anything but smooth, yet every challenge shaped the foundation of The Dapper Men Company. When I first started, I didn’t have investors, a large team, or a fashion background handed to me. Everything was self-funded and self-taught. I learned how to source fabrics, communicate with manufacturers, build client relationships, and even design marketing materials — all while working full-time as an educator and counselor.
There were moments when balancing both worlds felt impossible — serving students during the day, then designing, meeting clients, and studying tailoring techniques late into the night. I faced delays, design setbacks, and financial hurdles, but each obstacle forced me to become more creative, more resourceful, and more intentional with my craft.
But perhaps the biggest struggle wasn’t external — it was internal. Learning to trust the process, to stay patient when progress felt slow, and to keep faith in a vision that few understood in the beginning. Every stitch, every consultation, every late night was an investment in something greater — not just a fashion brand, but a legacy rooted in excellence and empowerment.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At its core, The Dapper Men Company is more than a suit brand — it’s an experience. We specialize in made-to-measure and custom-tailored suits, tuxedos, and shirts for men who appreciate sophistication, craftsmanship, and individuality. Every design is built around the belief that clothing should tell a story — one of confidence, discipline, and self-respect.
What sets us apart is our intentional approach to style and service. We don’t just take measurements; we learn the man behind them — his personality, his aspirations, his lifestyle. From fabric selection to lapel design, every detail is personalized. Our clients range from grooms and executives to artists and athletes, but the mission remains the same: to make them feel powerful, refined, and unapologetically themselves.
I’m most proud of how we’ve built a brand with purpose. Through The Dapper Promise Foundation, we provide suits to underprivileged youth and families for proms, interviews, and formal events — because confidence should never be a luxury reserved for a few. Seeing a young man stand taller in his first custom suit reminds me that we’re not just tailoring garments — we’re tailoring futures.
Ultimately, The Dapper Men Company stands out because we blend fashion with impact. Our craftsmanship rivals top-tier brands, but our heart is rooted in community, culture, and transformation.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Absolutely. If there’s one message I’d leave with your readers, it’s that being dapper is about far more than fashion — it’s about character. Style is simply the outward expression of how you value yourself and the world around you. Whether you’re wearing a custom suit or your everyday attire, carry yourself with purpose, confidence, and class.
I also want people to know that dreams don’t have to start perfect — they just have to start. The Dapper Men Company was built from a vision, not resources. It began in small spaces with big ideas, and it’s still evolving every day. My goal is to continue building a brand that not only redefines menswear but also uplifts the next generation through mentorship, opportunity, and empowerment.
For anyone reading this who’s chasing a dream, remember: excellence is built in the details — in your work, your mindset, and your consistency. Stay true, stay refined, and always experience the Dapper difference.
