Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Bower.
Carrie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For years I had been into stationery, antiques, and crafting. In 2018 on a whim, I started an Instagram account so I could share some of my work with like-minded creatives. I had no idea how fast the account would grow, and within a short time, I found a whole community of people who enjoyed my projects and were interested in my Etsy shop. It was a nice transition for me because I had just retired from being a family and wedding photographer for a decade. After 200 weddings, I was ready to dive into nature photography, create postcards with my work and dabble in other areas of art.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With any means of sharing there can be algorithm issues, etc, but for the most part, the growth has been steady and smooth.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I curate vintage ephemera kits for my customers, send happy mail which is specialty mail just for the sake of enjoyment, penpal, create resin projects and offer eclectic goods that I’ve found.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
It’s a fascinating little niche with some unwavering fans of all age groups so I think it’s going to be popular for quite some time.
