Today we’d like to introduce you to Charity Anthony.
Hi Charity, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Multifaceted creator whose vision is to combine art and therapy through mediums. Since I was young, I have carried seasons through different art mediums, such as makeup artistry, dancing, painting, and fashion design. My belief is that art is space for expression to run through creativity in different forms and help us through our healing processes over our lifetime. I love and hope to meet more different artists in the Dallas area to collaborate through mediums and create a shift in art culture in the area.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The heftiest obstacle to meet is acceptance in failures, finding a great support system, and staying consistent when it’s overwhelming. I have not always had the greatest support system, but in recent years, I’ve learned a lot about myself as a person. Lessons such as patience, grace, and self-awareness have taught me how to slow down and accept mistakes again when I’m learning something new because we have to practice to yield better results. Also, it’s okay that you get bored, overwhelmed, or frustrated with your craft; take breaks, go out and get inspired again, and challenge your creative mind to new views and perspectives. Lastly, invest in yourself as a person so that you the type of support system you want to invest in your relationships. A great support system will care for you and invest in your vision, and they will want to see you win.

In my last year, I fell in love with fiber arts and started my venture, learning crochet techniques and, soon, knitting. I am working on producing creations to open my first online store. I would like to build a community where we can come together, bond, and learn or enhance new skills! I am currently working on a summer collection coming soon!
