Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciani Mills.
Hi Ciani, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I come from an extremely musical family, everyone from my mom to my nephews can sing, dance, or play an instrument so I’ve always been surrounded by talent. I was more of the ghostwriter than the artist but I ended up creating my very first song “Final Dawn” in the closet with my brother in 2018 as a joke lol, but my brother went behind my back and uploaded the song to SoundCloud and everyone loved it. I thought to myself “I have to give the people more of what they want” lol but I didn’t do that until 2020 when I dropped “Away From Me”, Followed by Feelings Involved and CC. That’s when all the love came and I could see my fan base and supporters start to grow agile and from that point on it’s been an exciting and ascending journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Lol no it has not been a smooth road, the road to success and the road to your dreams is never easy. Can you imagine creating an R&B song in one room and then hearing 808s and rap piercing through the wall of the room right next to you. That definitely hindered my creativity. I’ve ran into numerous issues but one of the main ones is knowing who to work with and who not to work with. It hasn’t been easy but it has been worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Musician I mainly do R&B but I do leak into other genres as well. I’m honestly known for my music, as my career has grown, I’ve labeled myself as “The Hitmaker” and now that is what everyone calls me. I’m most proud of my growth thus far, I feel as if within 1–2-year time span I’ve grown immensely. I’m different and lol I know everyone says that about themselves but I’m genuinely different, from my style to my cadence when I create songs, I feel as if no one is on the same wavelength or vibe as me.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Lol, I can’t name a specific childhood memory but I can definitely say that the pranks between me and my siblings were what kept us in trouble but laughing as well.
