Hi Crooks and Co, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Crooks & Co was born from a heart to serve and build. What started as a few creative projects turned into a calling, helping people bring their God-given visions to life with clarity, confidence, and excellence. We’ve always believed creativity can be a form of ministry, a way to uplift others and reflect purpose through design and strategy. What began as a passion for storytelling has now grown into a full-service creative agency that partners with entrepreneurs, ministries, and brands that want to make real impact. We have yielded our skills and talents to our community as well through volunteerism, which we will always contribute. Every project is personal to us and built with intention, rooted in faith, and designed to leave a lasting mark.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but it’s been a meaningful one. Like most businesses, we’ve faced our share of growing pains where we had to learn to balance creativity with structure, building systems while still keeping our work personal, and navigating seasons where resources were limited but vision was big. There were moments that stretched us from long nights and tight deadlines to figuring out how to scale without compromising our standard of excellence. Yet each challenge refined us. We’ve learned to lean into our faith, patience, and perseverance, trusting that every obstacle was shaping us for greater impact. And the thing that has kept us grounded through it all is our “why”, serving others well, building with integrity, and creating work that lasts. The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s been worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I serve primarily behind the scenes at Crooks & Co supporting the team wherever I’m needed most. My role shifts depending on the project, but it often involves feedback on creative direction, strategy support, and executing, making sure the moving parts come together smoothly. I love creating space for others to shine and making sure what happens behind the curtain is just as strong as what’s seen out front. I’m most proud of the way our team works together and how everyone brings something unique to the table. I get to help weave those strengths into a finished product that feels seamless. What sets my role apart is the balance between creative intuition and structure. I’m learning to operate in a more flexible spontaneous environment and improvising, which is growth for me. I get to help keep us aligned with vision while making sure we execute with excellence. What sets us a part as a company is that we blend creativity with strategy. We stand out because we don’t just create visuals, we build meaning. Every project is rooted in purpose, strategy, and story, so our clients’ brands don’t just look good, they connect.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about DFW is the energy and opportunity here. It’s a city that’s constantly growing, with so many creative, entrepreneurial, and cultural spaces to explore. I love the mix of innovation and community and you can find both world-class experiences and close-knit neighborhoods.
What I like least is the traffic, it can definitely test your patience! But, that’s a small trade-off for everything the city has to offer. Overall, I appreciate how DFW continues to evolve while still holding space for people and businesses to thrive. We’ve been blessed ever since relocating here.
