Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisha Sherls.
Daisha , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started the Flavor Haus CO June 2024 due to me losing my job. I always told myself that I never wanted to work for anyone else so I needed to figure out a way I could generate income on my own. I had no idea what I was going to do so I prayed and talked to God and he gave me the answer. Everyone around me always told me I should start selling plates so I finally took the leap of faith because I had God on my side.
Walking in the unknown unaware of where my next paycheck was going to come from was the hardest thing I’ve ever done! Having to lean on God knowing he had/has my back no matter what. I never went without and my bills were always paid!
I started off selling plates but soon realized there was a market for meal prep. I completely stopped selling plates and began focusing on one thing. That one thing has began to flourish on its own and generating weekly income through my website. Without God none of this would be possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. The beginning of starting something on your own is the hardest! You don’t have a job to lean on only yourself. You don’t have the weekly check coming in that gives you comfort. There were weeks where I made less than 200 dollars days where I didn’t make a penny. Days where I would go to sleep crying because I didn’t know how I was going to pay my bills. However no matter the struggle I endured and never gave up on myself. If God said I can then I knew I could. Having faith and having a good support system got me through.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am know for making fresh flavorful meal prep meals. Being able to have a healthy diet without sacrificing the flavor of food. My brand is a lifestyle! I am the brand! If you look at my Instagram page you will automatically see what sets me apart. My branding is different! Each meal will be branded, each meal comes with nutrition facts (no one is doing that) it’s easy to win when you do what others aren’t.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years I expect the Flavor Haus Co to have branded products, a store front, shipping meal prep nationwide and a big team behind me. As I continue to grow I will no longer be able to do it on my own.
