Today we’d like to introduce you to Darlesha Goggans.
Hi Darlesha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Darlesha Goggans aka Valkary is movement artist creative dancer specializing in hip hop and popping. For the past 18 years Valkary has won over 25 dance competitions, performed on so you think you can dance, missy Elliot, opening for Drake, fashion shows, and commercials. She has also worked with brands such as red bull as a judge and dancer as well as Bacardi as the official dancer. She is a staple in the Dallas dance community and other cities teaching classes giving knowledge about this artistic movement as well as choreographing and coaching. As well as photographer which has now evolved to creative directing videos and event coordinating .I strive to build community that when everyone comes to Dallas they know who we are. Now with the help my my manager Willie Johnson of J3 productions I strive to keep building my career as an actor, dancer, creative.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definity has not been a smooth road but what road to success is every easy. Its how you react to every given situation because that very situation or problem only builds you to become more powerful in your craft in life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in Dance it truly saved my life I have been able to experience some amazing events work with people I only imaged and I am forever grateful movement is truly the way of life . I work with artist for artist development , studios, dance crews etc. I also specialize in photography I by oneshotvisions because I believe capturing moments is a true way of living forever. Its all about that oneshot in everything we do in life.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising about me that most be would not know about me is that I love to read! lol I know I dont look like the average reader because a lot of people that know me always say that I am always moving around which is true in a lot of cases but when in all actuality I make time to sit and read there is soo much knowledge in a book it can be very life changing I actually have a subscription to audible lol and I loveeee barnes and noble!
