Today we’d like to introduce you to David Kenoly.
Hi David, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My background is in entertainment. I began singing at age 4. I had my first paying gig at age 7. I have been a musician and singer most of my life. I owned an entertainment company here is Dallas for about 22 years. Then it was shut down by Covid. In 2020, I cofounded an event company with a high school friend, and we ran it together for 5 years, until a collection of irreconcilable differences lead us to dissolve the partnership. That is when the Blue Panther Party was born. From basically nothing, we have come a long way in a short time. Our profile is on the rise, and our brand is growing in popularity. We don’t just focus on the materials and presentation. We focus on bringing people together and fostering a real sense of community. We encourage neighbors to become friends. Our service thrives on the belief that nothing is more important than connecting people.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Relative to the last few years, the transition has been smooth. Dissolving that partnership was the best move I’ve made in years. I have the freedom to take this company in any direction I see fit. I can brand it the way I want. I can prioritize our actions in the way that makes the most sense to me. This new sense of freedom has been a breath of fresh air.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We offer resident event services to upscale apartment communities and HOA’s. We offer everything from breakfast and, dinner services, to activities like Bingo, Trivia and Karaoke. We have a wide variety of pool party packages for summer, as well as a collection of other outdoor events, designed to get people outside and moving around.
As for a specialty, I don’t know that we have a specialty. As prepared as this might sound, we actually strive to treat each event with the same level of excitement and creativity. We want every event we do to shine and be remembered.
I think we are most know for our ability to appropriately theme an event. If you want to have an Oktoberfest event with no beer, we can make that happen without losing the uniquely festive vibe of an Oktoberfest event.
What sets us apart from other service providers is our flexibility. Though we put a great deal of effort into designing our events and offering them in a complete package, we are open to making changes to suit the wants and needs of our clients. The cookie cutter approach to events just won’t work for everyone.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
MY go to podcast is Diary of a CEO. The scope of the information offered there is stunning. I have found useful information from interviews with people that on the surface, have little to do with business. Diary never fails to enlighten me in some way.
Koerner Office is another resource I use for inspiration. Similar to Diary, it provides useful information in the most unexpected topics.
