Hi Diane , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello Curious Readers. This is Diane Lee the next level florist plus floral designer from Coppell TX proudly serving the DFW Metroplex with unique floral creations for all occasions and Luxurious Christmas Decor.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In all honesty, there is no such thing as a smooth road when it comes to design business. There are few main struggles that everyone experiences: doubts, having an unfamiliar name in the industry, not having the right connections, and prospects that think less of me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a creative floral designer and a Christmas decorator during the Christmas season. I specialize in Fresh Floral Arrangements for Large Corporate Spaces, Luxury Hotels, and Luxury Signature Brand Boutiques in the Dallas Metroplex. Every design I deliver does not repeat nor have a clone, in order for us to provide exclusivity to all our clients. Even when we create fresh floral arrangements for Valentine’s Day, birthdays,anniversaries, client appreciation bouquets, and much more. We pay attention to details and consult with clients as to where the flower arrangement will be placed. We’ll suggest the right size, color, shape, and texture for the required floral arrangement. An honest discussion will definitely be practiced during any discussion with every client in order to keep us and our clients on the same page and to also avoid any unnecessary surprises.
And on the subject of Christmas, the best time of the year. We all know many retailers sell Christmas decor from mass production lines, which use lesser quality materials due to costings. I provide fellow Christmas fans like myself with quality products that I personally handcrafted myself based on the client’s theme and specifications. Every Christmas creation I deliver is crafted by hand tied, hand wired, and stitched. I do my best to use the least amount of glue as much as possible to give the final product a very clean look.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Yes, joining trade markets and attending any networking events in communities within the area you serve will always be a good idea. Just remember to not lose hope, it is important to always have a positive mindset in attending any networking group or joining a market place as one of the vendors.
