Life & Work with Dynay John

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dynay John.

Dynay John

Hi Dynay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with my own experience as a mother, navigating the highs and lows of motherhood while yearning for a community where I could feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I realized that while there are countless resources for parenting, there often isn’t a safe, nurturing space for women themselves—a place where we can recharge, share experiences, and grow spiritually.

That realization sparked the vision for this supportive community. I wanted to create a space rooted in faith, fellowship, and empowerment where mothers could come together, not just to share their struggles and victories, but to build deep, meaningful connections that extend beyond motherhood. It started small, with casual gatherings, but quickly turned into a sisterhood for not only mothers but for ALL women. It isn’t just about meeting; it’s about creating a safe haven—a place where every woman feels valued and rejuvenated.

Through regular fellowships, we’ve been able to celebrate while empowering one another to thrive as individuals. It’s been a beautiful journey of seeing women come together, grow in faith, and support each other in ways that ripple far beyond our gatherings. Today, this mission is not just a passion project but a testament to the power of community, connection, and shared purpose.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges have shaped the journey and strengthened our mission. One of the biggest struggles was starting from scratch—building trust and creating a space where moms felt safe to open up and share their experiences. Many women are naturally guarded, so it took time and consistent effort to build that sense of community and connection.

Another challenge has been balancing my own responsibilities as a mother while growing this mission. There were times when I questioned if I could pour into others while managing my own life, but leaning on faith and the support of those who believed in the vision helped me push through.

Additionally, creating a community like this requires resources and dedication, and there are moments where I have to get creative with limited time and support. But nothing tops seeing women leave the fellowship feeling valued, recharged.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is deeply rooted in my passion for supporting and empowering others. In my full-time role in special education, I work closely with students who have diverse learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and skills that allow them to thrive in and out of the classroom. I also tutor children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade part-time, focusing on foundational skills and providing individualized support to help them reach their full potential.

Outside of my professional roles, I’m a mother of two, which brings its own beautiful challenges and joys. This personal experience fuels my dedication to my women’s life group—a community I’ve built to support mothers and women in their journey through faith, connection, and personal growth. It’s a space where women can recharge, celebrate their roles, and inspire one another.

What I’m most proud of is the impact of these connections—whether it’s helping a child reach a milestone, seeing a student gain confidence, or witnessing a mom in my group rediscover her sense of self. Each of these moments reminds me why I do what I do.

What sets me apart is my ability to bring empathy and intentionality into everything I do. My work spans different roles, but at the heart of it all is a deep commitment to nurturing others. I strive to create environments where people feel safe, supported, and valued—whether it’s a child discovering their strengths or a mom finding solace and fellowship in community. I believe that my balance of professional expertise, personal experience, and spiritual focus makes my approach unique and impactful.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
My faith is the foundation of everything I do, and the Bible is my ultimate guide and source of inspiration. It provides me with wisdom, encouragement, and perspective in both my personal and professional life. Scriptures like Philippians 4:13—‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’—remind me to lean on God’s strength when I feel overwhelmed or uncertain.

In addition to the Bible, I draw a lot from resources within my church. Sermons, Bible studies, and devotionals keep me grounded and help me grow spiritually. Apps like the Bible App are invaluable for accessing scripture and devotionals on the go. It’s amazing to have so many tools to study God’s word and apply it to my daily life.
