Life & Work with Emily Fiala Dagnan

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Emily Fiala Dagnan again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Emily, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
I honestly never thought I’d be working as a Private Wellness Chef. The little girl who dreamt of wearing a tall white chef cap was creating chocolate towers and tasty desserts. Little did I know that I would be helping others find their version of clean eating. Whether they are just maintaining their health, or in the trenches of an illness. God had a very different plan for me, than where I started! I am grateful to have heard what he said. It is a privilege to cook in the voice that I have found. Creating dishes that satisfy the soul, while trying to not interfere with ailments. The main lesson that I have learned while on this journey, is that every bite counts. The food that we eat is either contributing to an illness or helping our body heal.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
For many years my goal has been to write a book-so I did. I haven’t quite made it to the world of brick and mortar, yet. I have started with e-books. They are a quick, easy way to get a taste of what I do behind the stove weekly. I currently have 4 for sale, and one free available. All are very different, but all have one thing in common, that is to eat at home. The only way to truly be 100 percent in control of your diet is to cook your food or have an educated professional cook it for you. When you eat out, you have no idea what is happening behind closed doors. While I am not saying one should never dine out and enjoy the fine chefs working in restaurants, I am saying to those suffering from ailments, you have to be in control. Not everyone taking your order or cooking your food is as concerned about your health as you are.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
My private chef services are only applicable if you live in the Dallas Fort Worth area, while my e-books are accessible everywhere. My books teach you that anyone can learn how to eat seasonally, clean up their pantry, and find success in clean eating. I feel that clean eating is for everyone; we all should avoid processed, packaged foods and drive-thru lanes as much as possible.
