Life & Work with Estella Martinez of Dallas, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Estella Martinez

Hi Estella, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My wedding dog attendant service started organically from my love for dogs and my experience running a dog care business. One of my amazing clients asked if I could help include their dogs in their wedding, and of course, I said yes! What started as a favor quickly turned into something bigger when I realized just how much couples wanted their furry family members by their side—but needed someone they could trust to handle all the details.

That first wedding was October 2021, working alongside my husband to make sure everything went smoothly. Since then, many weddings later, I still absolutely love what I do—helping couples celebrate with their beloved dogs stress-free. My service has grown to include everything from transportation to ceremony handling and photo supervision, making sure each pup is well cared for while their owners enjoy their big day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a wedding dog attendant service comes with its own unique set of challenges! Here are some obstacles I have faced along the way:
*Not everyone immediately understands the value of a wedding dog attendant. Some couples might think a family member or friend can handle their pup, not realizing how much work it actually is. Educating couples on why professional care makes a difference (so they can fully enjoy their day) has been an ongoing effort.
*Rain, heat, or cold—weddings happen in all kinds of conditions. I plan ahead to keep pups safe and comfortable, no matter what the forecast holds.
*I truly love all dogs, but sometimes a pup may not be the right fit for a wedding setting. If a dog is highly reactive or anxious, I always prioritize their well-being and help couples find the best way to include them.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in wedding dog attendant services and dog care, helping couples include their dogs in their wedding day without stress. From getting them to the venue, keeping them calm during the ceremony, to making sure they’re comfy during photos, I take care of all the details so couples can focus on their big day.

I’m most proud of how my service lets couples celebrate with their furry family members without any worries. What sets me apart is my experience with both dogs and weddings—I know how to blend into the celebration while making sure every pup is comfortable and happy.

With almost 70 dogs’ experience at weddings, I’ve built great relationships with venues and wedding teams, which makes the process smooth and stress-free. Unlike a friend or family member who might be juggling other things, I’m there just for the dog—so everyone can enjoy the day without a hitch.

How do you think about happiness?
My family is my greatest joy and source of happiness. From my husband, adult children, and son-in-law, to my grandson, my own dogs, and my extended family and close friends who feel like family, they all hold a special place in my heart.

What brings me even more happiness is the work I do. My business allows me to combine my love for dogs with the joy of helping couples celebrate their special day. It’s a dream come true to have a career that not only lets me work with dogs but also allows me to be part of such a meaningful moment in people’s lives. The support and love of my family make everything even more rewarding.
