Life & Work with Hannah Crews of Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Crews.

Hi Hannah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The desire to make people smile has always been a part of me. As a child, I loved to perform, sing, dance, and act. I took a class called “Media Tech” in high school, which bloomed my passion for creating video content. After graduating from Trinity University, I worked in the news industry for about a year. But once I got married and moved to Fort Worth, I decided to utilize my skills on social media instead. It was the perfect fit – I could showcase everything I loved, raise my babies, and build a following that turned into a business. The opportunities that have arisen from social media alone have been life changing, including book deals and appearances on Fox News in New York City.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a windy road, but such a gift! Because of the freedom you get with this career path, that I saw every challenge as a blessing. One thing I had to learn was to not worry about what others think of me. Growing on social media is a grind – putting yourself out there on the internet can attract lots of criticism and judgment from strangers and friends alike. However, this journey has taught me to live unoffendable, and to persevere regardless. Now with a flourishing platform, and with a wonderful husband and family who supported me the entire time, I could not be happier with where I am today!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Christian author, motivational speaker, and a social media personality. My work centers around joy, confidence, and humor – not taking life so seriously, and encouraging people to “lighten up, because there’s so much joy in Jesus.” I openly share my testimony and the hardships I’ve faced, reminding people that even when life is not good, it does not change the goodness of God. Each day, I create content that makes people smile and points them back to the One who is the ultimate source of our happiness, Jesus!

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Jesus makes me happy. My husband makes me happy. My kids make me happy. My dogs, my family, my besties, my job, my health, my purpose as a believer – all of it is cause for celebration. Living in a constant state of gratitude, even when life gets tough, is the only way a person can be truly happy. Comparison and self-pity are a no-no for me – I refuse to life defined by the bad, and choose to focus on how good God has always been!
