Today we’d like to introduce you to Henni Clothing
Hi Henni, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Henni Clothing originated in Memphis Tennessee the brand’s birthplace playing a pivotal role in shaping its identity, as an energetic and direct atmosphere of Memphis became constant source of inspiration. The fusion of creativity and fashion was evident from the beginning setting Henni Clothing apart from the trends in the industry. The brand was created to reflect the culture and lifestyle of the people. The name Henni is short for Henderson. Henni grow up in a rough environment in Memphis, TN a place where fashion, barbecue, and blues is the therapy to the struggle. The brand was founded in 2018 Henni sold her first piece to a college professor. Henni first fashion show “Intro to Paris” Memphis, TN. Henni original idea was to collab with other designers in the city. Henni wanted to re-make old forgotten clothing items and make them into something that no one ever seen before. Henni would use curtains, blankets, satin scarfs, and old clothes to re-create something beautiful. Henni never been a trend follower or too big on designer clothes but more interested in the details, and creativity such a placement, colors, and style.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s absolutely not easy as fashion designer stylist.There is so much that goes into make clothes, networking, balancing your personal life, finances, and time management. I don’t have a team I am the brand.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Fashion designer stylist. Henni Clothing specialize in and is known for being creative in making the unexpected streetwear, high fashion, and upcycle clothing .Well the one thing I’m sure of is what sets me apart from others is that I’m aware that my gift is for me only. My gift is that I have the ability to catch on quick, very much so a hands-on person, and creative with a unique attention to details. I am most proud of myself throughout this journey because no matter what I followed my gift not my passion.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is to be consistent, patient, and to always remind myself it’s not always about self. Also, network as much as possible and continue to create my own lane.
