Life & Work with Ivy Sbaiti of Dallas – Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivy Sbaiti

Hi Ivy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into the world of real estate and design began long before I officially started my career. I’ve always been captivated by buildings and the way they shape the environments around us. This passion led me to pursue architecture, where I gained a strong foundation in design and construction. I initially immersed myself in architectural competitions, which allowed me to explore my creative side while honing my technical skills. However, over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to the broader scope of real estate, particularly the investment side of it.

After working as an architect for several years, I transitioned into the world of commercial real estate. It was a natural evolution for me, blending my love for design with my growing interest in the financial aspects of property development and investment. Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working on a wide variety of projects, from ground-up developments to complex renovations.

One thing that has remained consistent throughout my career is my hands-on approach. Whether I’m designing a new space or repurposing an existing one, I love being involved in every stage of the process. I’m always looking for ways to take something that might be overlooked and give it new life while still respecting its original character. I believe there’s beauty in balance—finding that sweet spot where design and functionality meet while making the numbers work on the investment side.

What sets my work apart is the blend of disciplines I bring to the table. I’m not just focused on one aspect of the business; my experience spans design, construction, and real estate investing. This allows me to approach each project from multiple angles, ensuring that both the aesthetic and financial aspects align.

Ultimately, my career has been about creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also financially viable. I find that bringing together creativity and a deep understanding of the numbers allows me to make smart, informed decisions that benefit both the spaces I work on and the people who use them.

Why I Started Ivy Home Solutions

As the real estate market evolved, I noticed a growing challenge that many homeowners were facing—selling their homes in a slowing market. Interest rates were on the rise, which significantly impacted buyers’ purchasing power. In many cases, especially for entry-level homes, it became cheaper to rent than to buy. Homes that would have sold quickly in a different market were now sitting unsold for months. This was especially true for sellers who didn’t have the time or resources to make necessary repairs and updates to attract buyers.

That’s when I recognized an opportunity to help homeowners who needed to sell quickly but were stuck in this slow market cycle. I founded Ivy Home Solutions with the goal of offering a streamlined, stress-free alternative to the traditional real estate process. Instead of homeowners going through the lengthy and often expensive process of listing their home with a realtor—dealing with repairs, staging, showings, and then waiting for the right buyer—Ivy Home Solutions steps in to purchase homes directly from owners.

While the current market conditions may have sparked the need for Ivy Home Solutions, the value we provide remains relevant regardless of how the market shifts. Even in a stronger market, there are always homeowners who need to sell quickly due to life changes—whether it’s relocation, inheritance, divorce, or financial reasons. By continuing to offer fast cash closings and eliminating the need for repairs, staging, or lengthy waits, Ivy Home Solutions meets the needs of homeowners facing time-sensitive situations.

The market inefficiency we address is the disconnect between motivated sellers and the broader real estate process. Our business helps sellers bypass the uncertainty of waiting for a buyer, whether it’s due to a sluggish market or personal circumstances that require a faster solution. With Ivy Home Solutions, sellers have the peace of mind of knowing they can close quickly and move on to their next chapter without the typical headaches of selling a home.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Navigating the world of real estate and renovation always comes with its challenges. One of the key difficulties I face is balancing the unpredictability of home renovations with the commitment to offering a fair price to the seller. Unforeseen issues often arise—whether it’s structural problems or outdated systems—but these are challenges I take on fully, so the seller doesn’t have to. My role is to ensure that the seller receives a quick and fair closing, without being burdened by the unexpected costs or complications that come with renovation.

Rising construction costs and a tightening labor market have added another layer of complexity to this balance. Inflation has driven up expenses, and finding skilled labor can be difficult. Despite these market pressures, I work hard to ensure that none of these challenges impact the seller. My focus is on managing these factors behind the scenes while still providing sellers with a fair offer that reflects both the value of their home and the realities of the current market. It’s a delicate balancing act, but one that I’m committed to achieving with each project.

The outcome of this work is what drives me. Every home we renovate represents a fresh start, not only for the buyer but for the seller as well. For sellers, it’s a chance to move on quickly and fairly, knowing they’ve closed a chapter in their lives without the stress and delays of the traditional real estate process. And for buyers, it’s the opportunity to purchase a professionally renovated home, one that’s ready for them to build their own future in.

My approach is to turn what might be a pain point for someone into an opportunity for someone else. A home that may have become a burden for its current owner—whether due to disrepair, financial reasons, or life circumstances—can become a fresh canvas for a new family. What I love most is the chance to honor the history of each house. Every home has a story, and I want to respect the life that was lived within it while transforming it into something beautiful and functional for the next owner.
Ultimately, my mission is simple: to improve homes around the Dallas-Fort Worth area, one house at a time. Each project is an opportunity to make a difference, not only for the sellers who are moving on but also for the buyers who are just starting their journey in a new space. The work may be challenging, but the impact is worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
