Today we’d like to introduce you to Janice Vu.
Hi Janice, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
This has truly been a life-changing career shift for me. I left the 8–5 routine in 2017 and found my passion in aesthetics at A&M Laser Clinic in Irving, where I stayed until 2020. From there, I continued my journey at The Skin Lab in Irving through 2024, learning and growing every step of the way. In April 2024, I took a big leap and opened my own med spa in Carrollton, Glass Skin Theory. The most special part of this new chapter is getting to work side by side with my childhood best friend, Raksa Moran, who joined me as our nurse injector.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve hit a few bumpy roads, but i managed to make it work !

At Glass Skin Theory, we focus on regenerative aesthetics. Most of the clients we see are in their 40s and beyond, though we love treating younger clients too. Our goal is never to change how someone looks, but to enhance their natural beauty—helping them look refreshed, radiant, and confident while still feeling like themselves.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
There’s really nothing surprising about me—I keep things black and white with my clients. I’m very direct, and I don’t sugarcoat. Some people might even say I give a terrible first impression, because I have this habit of not smiling right away. A few clients have told me they thought I was super serious at first.
But once they get to know me, they realize I’m the opposite—I actually joke around a lot and love making people feel comfortable. It’s important to me that clients know they can trust me to be honest, give it to them straight, and also share a laugh along the way.
