Life & Work with Jay Stover of Addison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Stover.

Jay, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From my earliest memories—soaring above cities in a helicopter with my mom—I knew my heart belonged to the sky. Flying revealed a perspective most people never get to see, and I’ve spent my life finding ways to share that perspective through story, vision, and craft.

I started in aviation as a commercial helicopter, airplane single and multi-engine pilot, and flight instructor, also earning my Part 107 commercial drone certificate. Like many pilots, I was building hours toward the 1,500-hour milestone to reach the airlines. But along the way, something unexpected happened.
In 2020, based out of Addison, Texas, I founded what would eventually become JayDreaming™. What began as a small company leasing its airplane to a flight school grew into something much greater. After moving operations to Sherman/Denison, I realized I needed someone to market the aircraft—and that someone turned out to be me. I began creating cinematic videos and visuals to showcase the aircraft and capture the freedom of flight in a way that truly inspired.

As I flew across the mid-central United States, I wanted to bring back the beauty I witnessed—the skylines, the sunsets, the sense of wonder. That’s when my commercial drone services were born. I discovered a passion for visual storytelling—making every shot, edit, and sequence feel like art. My creativity on the ground became just as important as my view from the sky. Riding a hoverboard with a camera gimbal even became my signature style for smooth, moving cinematic shots.

Over five years of honing my craft, I realized that only about one percent of the world are pilots—and that meant my audience and impact were limited. In late 2025, I made the leap to focus entirely on creative media, aerial cinematography, and storytelling. I wanted to merge everything I loved—flying, filming, music, and marketing—into a single, purpose-driven company.

Today, at JayDreaming™, we don’t just capture visuals—we champion visionaries.
From the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth to stories unfolding across the world, we craft cinematic expressions that empower brands, artists, and dreamers to be seen, remembered, and set apart. Wherever inspiration strikes, we bring the lens, the story, and the spark.
We don’t follow formulas.
 We follow the fire.

Every project is more than a production—it’s a collaboration of heart and vision, a dream transformed into light, sound, and story. JayDreaming™ exists to remind the world that creativity still has wings.
My mission is simple: to uplift and empower others by showing them at their very best—especially those who might not have the big budgets for high-end marketing or cinematic production. Everyone deserves to see their dreams brought to life beautifully. That’s what JayDreaming™ is all about.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all—and I’m grateful it hasn’t been. Smooth roads rarely shape strong pilots, dreamers, or storytellers.

My journey has been one of turbulence and transformation—both in the skies and on the ground. From the early challenges of building flight hours and maintaining aircraft, to the financial weight of ownership and entrepreneurship, to the sleepless nights editing footage while balancing flying, business, and creative direction—it’s been a test of endurance and faith.

There were moments when everything I built seemed to stall midair—times when partnerships fell apart, when trust was broken, when I had to rebuild not just my business, but my belief in the dream itself. At one point, I even had to reclaim my own brand and digital identity after it was taken without authorization—a difficult experience that taught me not just about business, but about resilience, boundaries, and protecting what you create.

But through every setback, I learned that pressure doesn’t destroy vision—it refines it. Every challenge clarified what JayDreaming™ was truly about: authenticity, perseverance, and helping others see their own potential reflected back in a cinematic light.

The road has never been smooth, but it’s been meaningful. The storms, the pivots, the unexpected detours—all of it gave me the tools, the empathy, and the artistry to tell stories that come from a real place. And at the end of every storm, the sky has always cleared—reminding me that the dream is still worth chasing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I like to say I live at the intersection of art, air, and imagination.

Through JayDreaming™, I specialize in cinematic storytelling, aerial videography, brand artistry, and creative direction—blending my aviation background with a filmmaker’s eye and a musician’s sense of rhythm. Every project I take on—whether it’s a commercial drone shoot, a music video, a brand film, or a cinematic short—is driven by emotion, movement, and meaning. I don’t just document; I design experiences that move beyond screens, into the heart and soul..

Right now, I’m completing my first major film project, created for international film festival submissions across Europe, with sights set on future streaming platforms like Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video. It’s a project that has tested every part of who I am—pilot, editor, artist, storyteller—and it’s the one that’s revealed just how far JayDreaming™ has come since its early days.
But what I’m most proud of isn’t just what’s been completed—it’s what’s still ahead. The unseen ideas, the unwritten scripts, the untold stories waiting for their light. Because my best work, I believe, is always the next one.

What sets me apart is the way I see the world—from both above and within. My time as a commercial pilot and flight instructor taught me discipline, precision, and perspective. My experience as a creative taught me to feel, express, and dream without limits. Together, they’ve formed a style that’s both cinematic and soulful—where every frame carries intention, and every project reminds people that creativity still has wings.

JayDreaming™ was never meant to be a company—it’s a movement. A reminder that artistry and aviation, grounded and skybound, can coexist as one poetic expression of freedom.
I’m proud to help others see themselves in that same light—to bring their dreams to life beautifully, whether they’re artists, entrepreneurs, or brands with a story to tell. Because at the end of the day, I don’t just make films.

I make visions visible.

Any big plans?
The future of JayDreaming™ is about expansion—not just in scale, but in depth, artistry, and purpose.
I’m building a creative universe where aerial cinematography, filmmaking, and brand storytelling all converge into something timeless—an ecosystem that inspires dreamers, elevates creators, and gives voice to visions that deserve to be seen.

I’m finalizing my first film project for international festival submissions, with the goal of bringing it to major streaming platforms like Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video. That’s only the beginning. I plan to continue producing cinematic projects that blend aviation, music, and human story—where the sky becomes both canvas and metaphor.

Long-term, I’m developing JayDreaming Studios and JayDreaming Entertainment into full-scale creative houses: one focused on cinematic storytelling and brand direction, and the other on original music and live performance. Together, they’ll form the foundation of a dream ecosystem I call the JayDreaming Universe—a space where visionaries, artists, and brands can collaborate under one shared philosophy: Dream Until Your Dreams Come True™.

I’m also laying the groundwork for global creative partnerships—offering aerial production, cinematic marketing, and visual storytelling services across major U.S. cities and international destinations.
But above all, my future plans are about legacy—not the kind built from wealth or recognition, but from impact.

I want every frame, every melody, and every story to remind someone that imagination still matters, and that even the boldest dreams can take flight.
