Life & Work with JRoc Jefferson

Today we’d like to introduce you to JRoc Jefferson.

Hi JRoc, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO moved to Dallas Tx 2002 on a Job transfer to further my career as a Bankruptcy Admin/Technician. Loved Dallas had my 1st house built from the ground up, there were a lot of great Opportunities there. I worked for several of the major banks. In 2008 I decided I’m done with the corporate world, I wanted more for myself, I wanted to own my own company, be my own Boss that’s when I became an entrepreneur. JRoc Management was created, I managed Models and Artist. My first group I managed was N’Tyce, a 2 female rap group duo that received lots of attention in the Tripple D, they performed around Dallas, radio station appearances, and were featured with a lot of upcoming Hot artist. I worked with Neiman Marcus, doing Marketing and Promotions and I provided them with kid models for their Fashion shows held at the Downtown Dallas location. I then created a Fashion Model Female group Dallas Dimes in which I provided beautiful ladies for video shoots, club appearances, radio appearances, and Holiday events for some of the biggest names in Dallas such as: Nina, Kim, Mista E, Big Chief, Dorrough, Bay Bay, KD, Big Stacks, Sixx Mann and many more. JRoc Entertainment LLC was originated in 2011 started Promoting and throwing parties and events around Dallas. Entrepreneurship was my lane, just purchased my 2nd home Life was Good!! Then my life changed in 2013 my Hero, my only Living parent, my backbone, became ill had strokes, and was diagnosed with Dementia. For a year my brother and I would take care of him Dallas with me/ST. Louis with him, he wasn’t getting better, and a Nursing home was not an option or a thought at all. That’s when I decided it’s time to go back home my Family needs me and I am a true Daddy’s Girl, rented out my house, packed up, and headed back to St. Louis. For the 1st year back home, I did nothing but learned how to take care of my dad. JRoc Entertainment started back up 2015 My brother pushed me to get back to what I love doing. My family has always been my Support group, managers, and security. So, I put together a team of Fam and Friends and we started Booking celebrities, promoting events, throwing parties all around St. Louis and East St. Louis. I managed a Downtown St. Louis Club for a year. JRoc Clothing LLC started shortly after in 2016, I always had an eye for fashion and decided to design my own clothes, and market & brand myself with my glitter blinged out JRoc logo, I appeared on the red carpet of the BET Awards 2018 a great humbling experience, I met and networked with a lot of Celebrities that gave me great advice and encouragement. ROCSTL is another brand of JRoc Clothing that did really well in St. Louis I appeared on Fox 2 news twice with a JRoc Clothing Rocstl Fashion Show. I grew up in Kaufman Park in University City we or our own Nation in St. Louis I started the Neighborhood to the World Movement clothing and that took off, our very own Nelly from U. City has supported me and the movement. My latest project is my Music, I have a track out called UH-HUH by Kayos & Hitch featuring JRoc we are currently Streaming on All Platforms, this track came from the neighborhood to the world movement, but every neighborhood can relate to this catchy, hot, track. I am currently still in St. Louis taking care of my father and Growing my Businesses and following my Dreams. Thank you, Dallas my 2nd home for all the Love, Help, and Support… I Will be Back!!!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t a smooth road there were also struggles along the way. People tend to not want to talk about the struggles, but to me, that’s what made who I am today. I am thankful for doors that didn’t open for me when I needed that extra push, or people that didn’t believe in me, or even people that have not supported me. I am thankful that I am a strong-minded Black Hustling Lesbian Boss in this World today. I am here to Hustle and Motivate and share my story.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Although I do a number of things Fashion is my passion and what I’m mostly proud of JRoc Clothing is worn all over the world such as Dallas, Houston, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, Indiana, Arkansas, NY, CA, LA, MA, MS, and IL. I enjoy bringing ideas to life and making New and Exclusive items for myself and others. I also work for my High School, University City High School Alumni Association, I have made Basketball uniforms for teams in St. Charles, MO, I create clothing for Customers, Class reunions, Club owners, Motorcycle groups, Coaches, Churches, High Schools, and Entertainment Artist. My Logo itself sets me apart from others because it’s trendy, it’s represented all over the world, and I have much more to come.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The lessons I’ve learned along the way is to Never Give up, and keep the Faith, Keep pushing no matter what obstacles come your way.
