Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Farmer.
Jennifer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My Journey: When the Soul Calls You into a New Direction
You know, I never set out to be a psychic medium or a spiritual teacher. My journey into this work didn’t begin in childhood—it began as an adult, during a time when I was searching for something deeper and more fulfilling.
I had a successful corporate career, but there was always this quiet voice within me—a sense that there was more to life, that I was meant to help others in a different way. Eventually, that voice became too strong to ignore. I call it a Soul nudge. It led me to begin exploring spirituality, meditation, and intuitive development. The more I leaned in, the more I experienced things I couldn’t explain—evidence that the Spirit World was real and that we’re never truly alone.
Answering that call meant walking away from the known and stepping into complete trust. Over time, my spiritual gifts opened in ways that changed everything. For the last seventeen years, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people heal, rebuild after loss, and strengthen their connection to Spirit. Through my readings, mentoring programs, retreats, and guided meditations, I help people find peace and confidence in their own connection with the Divine.
I wrote my book, How to Heal Grief and Rebuild Your Life After Loss, to offer others the tools and understanding I wish I’d had when I began this path. The book blends spiritual concepts with practical exercises to help people work through grief and rediscover meaning. Bob Olson, host of AfterlifeTV and author of Answers About the Afterlife, described it as a healing guide that even “bereavement counselors should use with their patients.”
In 2008, I was humbled to be recognized by Bob as one of the Best Psychic Mediums, and since then, my work has continued to grow through my Spiritual Growth Mentoring community, retreats, and Spirit-filled events that create healing and transformation.
I’ve also had a near-death experience that profoundly changed my understanding of God and the afterlife. It took away any remaining fear I had of death and gave me an unshakable knowing that we’re always surrounded by love—that something greater walks with us through every challenge and transition.
Today, I share this message wherever I can: healing is possible, Spirit is real, and we are never alone.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
That’s such a great question. People often see the highlight reel of where you are today and assume it was smooth, but for me, it was a journey of both faith and fear.
Leaving the safety and structure of corporate America was one of the hardest and scariest things I’ve ever done. Deep down, I knew I was meant to use my natural spiritual gifts, but I was a single mother, fully responsible for taking care of my son and myself. The idea of walking away from a steady paycheck and benefits was terrifying. I cried for an entire month before I made the decision.
I finally promised myself that I would lean in 110% for six months—really give it everything I had—and if it didn’t work out, I could always go back. So I left my corporate job on great terms and took that leap of faith. That choice changed everything.
The second big struggle came after I stepped into my spiritual work full-time. I knew I was an outlier—my beliefs and path were different from what most people around me understood. I often say I’m a Christian on the fringe. I love God deeply and follow the teachings of Christ, but I also believe that the Spirit World, Angels, Guides, and our Loved Ones continue to help and support us. That blend of faith and spirituality doesn’t fit neatly into traditional boxes, and that made things challenging at first.
There are always skeptics and people who don’t believe in mediumship or Spirit communication, and I knew I might lose friends or be judged for doing this work. That was painful, but I had to stay laser-focused on my calling—to help people know they’re not alone, and that divine support is real and available to all of us.
It wasn’t easy. There were moments I questioned everything. But deep down, I knew this was my purpose. And now, after all these years, I can look back and say—it was absolutely worth it. I’ve helped people all over the world heal from grief, learn to trust their intuition, and believe in themselves again. Every tear, every risk, every uncertain moment—it all led me exactly where I was meant to be.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work centers around helping people heal, grow, and strengthen their connection with Spirit. I’m an intuitive medium, spiritual teacher, and mentor, and for the last seventeen years, I’ve been honored to help people all over the world find peace, hope, and clarity—especially those who are grieving or longing for a deeper sense of connection.
I specialize in spirit communication, spiritual development, and grief healing, and I’m known for blending evidence-based mediumship with practical spiritual tools that help people integrate faith and intuition into their everyday lives. My sessions and classes remind people that they’re never alone and that Spirit—God, the Divine, Angels, and Loved Ones—continues to guide and support us.
Over the years, I’ve been blessed to receive recognition for my work. I was listed among the Best Psychic Mediums by Bob Olson (AfterlifeTV), my guided meditations have been featured in Yoga Journal, and my book, How to Heal Grief and Rebuild Your Life After Loss, has received wonderful reviews from readers and therapists alike.
What sets me apart is that I’ve walked both worlds. I came from a corporate background, so I understand structure, business, and practicality—but I also understand faith, intuition, and surrender. That balance allows me to bridge the spiritual and the real-world, helping people create lives that are both soul-led and grounded.
On a personal level, I’m most proud that I never gave up—no matter how uncertain or unconventional this path has been. It hasn’t always been easy to walk a spiritual path in a practical world, but my faith has kept me steady.
And ultimately, what I’m most proud of is the transformation I’ve seen in others. People who came to me in deep pain now live with peace, confidence, and connection. Knowing I’ve helped someone heal or rediscover their faith—that’s what makes everything worthwhile.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Texas is home for me—born and raised. I’ve lived in California, Florida, and Nevada, and I’ve traveled quite a bit, but there’s just something about coming back to Texas that feels right. It’s a great place to raise children, and I love our big, wide-open Texas skies.
I’m a runner, so I really appreciate how so many cities here have invested in their park systems and built beautiful trails. I also love how diverse Texas has become over the years. People from all over have moved here, and that mix of backgrounds has brought new energy, creativity, and opportunity. And on a simple note—I love all the great grocery stores we have! I enjoy cooking, so that’s a real bonus.
If there’s one thing I like least, it’s probably the increase in pollution and the loss of some of our green pastures and trees as the cities continue to grow. It’s definitely a trade-off that comes with progress.
