Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Jackson.
Hi Kendra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I own a beauty and spiritual wellness business. I started my beauty business doing lashes in 2015 after being incarcerated for 6 months!
When I got out of jail, within 2 months I was enrolled into Cosmetology school! School began in the fall and by then I was pregnant and it was hard staying awake at school. I gave birth before I finished school and going back to school was so hard emotionally due to personal things going on with my daughter’s dad and eventually after re-enrolling in school, I got a job in a warehouse. Which school and beauty on the back burner for 4 years.
During those 4 years, I began my spiritual journey. I started asking myself deeper questions about my purpose, what was holding me back and other whys and how’s. I unlearned so much of what I thought I knew. I was a people pleaser and I shrunk myself to make others comfortable and I took things that other people did to me as a sign of my own faults way more than I gave the energy back to others for them to sit with and be accountable for.! I’m not saying, I didn’t self reflect and see my own doings, but as an empath- who had very little support, I carried other people’s trauma and wounds! Whether it was generationally inherited or people projected, I carried it until I got tired. It was heavy!
I got into tarot readings because of a new romantic interest. One day I was googling my feelings and came across a YouTube tarot reading. Oh! My goodness, I shooketh!! I was nervous and curious. Spirituality wasn’t extremely taboo for me! I’ve been privy to a lot of astrology knowledge prior. But the video popping up on my Google feed had taken me aback and I proceeded to click on it and watch it anyway and I was HOOKED!!
I eventually started following along with different readers and guessing which cards they would pull next, knowing what they were going to say about situations. My intuition that was lying dormant was becoming more clear. I began using cartomancy “playing cards” while listening to readings, feeling my way through the energy. Learning to trust my own judgement and discernment. Inheriting my lineage’s wisdom, spiritual knowledge and being fully supported by my ancestors and Angels!
It helped me tap back into my intuitive like nature. When I was younger I would always have strong feelings about people, places and situations. Yet, I never explored it any further. Not before 2020.
Eventually, I started reading tarot online. I purchased my own decks regardless of what people say about receiving your first deck. Within the next 2 years I began offering personal readings and posting readings on all of my social media platforms.
Tik Tok is one of my largest platforms. I connect with people so easily. I never meet a stranger. Which makes me a really great service provider. I’m a good listener, people tell me their life story in the first couple minutes of meeting them and I don’t use that information against them, it helps to shape my understanding of what they know about energy and how they produce it. Whether they know that or not, I do. So, I’m always in a introspective space with others because I’m aware of this factor.
What I like to do is teach others how to be aware of themselves and others so that they too can achieve new levels of authentic pure energy and enlightenment.
In this process, it took going to school 5 times before I graduated as an Esthetician!
Luckily, I’ve been able to merge the two brands, spirituality/astrology and beauty. Playfully naming reels after clients zodiac signs, doing cleansing rituals and reiki during facial treatments while talking to my clients about their mental health, while providing emotional support!
My career and spiritual journey in the last 11 years has taught me that success in any aspect is permanent when we choose to never give up!
Everything is energy and energy never dies it continues to flow and in order to win and profit you have pivot, process and gain perception!
I’m still on YouTube, Tik Tok and Facebook spreading good vibes and giving daily energy updates! Becoming the best medium and beauty professional in DFW! *wink*

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth! I’ve lost so many times I could count on both hands and probably toes that amount of times, I had to rebuild my business. I’ve had family members and friends steal from me and my business, sabotage me, break my heart and I’m still relentless!
This journey has been hectic and rewarding because I never fail, I learn and pivot!

I mentioned this in my story portion. I don’t talk about myself often. I should have done that in the beginning!
My name is Kendra, I’m 38, I’m a October Scorpio lol yes there’s a difference! I’m an only child. Originally from Minneapolis Minnesota. My parents were never married. My dad split before I was 1. He was an addict. My mom raised me with my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. I visited my grandparents every summer from 6 to 8 in Denver until my grandma had cancer for the 2nd time and moved to Minnesota to be closer to our family.
My mother and I moved around quite a bit. We lived in Memphis, Aurora, Co and lastly Texas! I’ve be to 16 schools Pre K thru 12th grade. I’m used to being the new kid on the block!
I met my dad when I was 10. He’s still around, and a drug counselor now.
I moved here to Garland TX in 2001 and attended O’Banion MS. I went to North Garland my 9th grade year and finished Highschool at Lakeview. I attended Richland briefly although I was accepted into 3 other colleges and universities.
In my 20s I worked in finance and mortgage banking.
My mom passed away from metastatic renal cancer in January 2009. I was 21 and was just starting to become an adult. I had been working since 16. At that time I had an office job and my own car, but it wasn’t fully celebrated because life was leaving as mine was beginning.
This journey has sucked and it has turned me into a more selfish person, who utilizes strong discernment with others. The amount of L’s I’ve taken because of people attempting to sabotage what they’ve seen me build, is extremely great and not in the best of ways. I’ve become more protective of my energy and assets. And in turn it has made me more powerful and abundant than ever!
I want people to genuinely understand their shadow energy so that they stop showing up in fragmented ways that negatively impact their experiences.
What’s makes me different than everyone else or better? Emotionally, I know what people want before they can find it within themselves. I can lead to the depths of themselves if they choose to take that journey, I’m not available to those who refuse to do the work on themselves in any capacity!
What does success mean to you?
Showing up every day in authentic energy. Being honest with myself and others, giving myself grace, releasing any shame around anything I’ve experienced. All of those traits make me successful!
