Life & Work with Macario Robles of Dallas tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Macario Robles.

Hi Macario, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I didn’t grow up with a perfect foundation. I came from a broken home, spent time on the streets, and eventually found myself in jail. Those experiences could have defined my life, but instead they became the turning point. When I got out, I knew I needed change—and that’s when I found God.

Faith gave me direction and purpose. Around the same time, I discovered barbering. What started as just cutting hair quickly became something deeper. I was a husband and a father, working two jobs to provide for my family, but I felt a pull toward this craft. I realized it wasn’t just about hair—it was about connection, confidence, and service.

I had an honest conversation with my wife and asked if she could support the bills for a season so I could chase this dream. It took sacrifice and trust, but she believed in me. With God’s favor and relentless work, I ran with the gift I was given.

Today, I’m blessed to serve the same communities I grew up in, especially West Dallas. Give back to the shelter ant the stewpot in Dallas’. Every year, we host back-to-school and Christmas events, providing hundreds of free haircuts, school supplies, and meals. Combined, we’ve fed and served hundreds of people through these events. What makes it special is that I remember being a kid attending events like these—and now I get to be the one hosting them alongside an incredible team.

Now with my wife and 4 kids I’m able leave a legacy.
I’m just 8 years I’m able to come from building something meaningful.
To serve and provide

My family . My faith . My community

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I grew up in a broken home, spent time on the streets, and faced incarceration. Rebuilding as a husband and father meant working two jobs while chasing a calling in barbering. Through faith, sacrifice, and community service, those struggles became the foundation for purpose, legacy, and giving back.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

How do you think about luck?
Luck isn’t what shaped my life or my business. Everything I’ve built comes from God’s hand, not chance. His guidance, timing, and favor opened doors I couldn’t force on my own. What looks like luck to others is simply faith, obedience, and grace at work.

I believe the people in my chair are the good thing that have happened for me.
