Hi Omosigho, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Our journey began as two god sisters who shared a deep passion for decor and a love for bringing events to life. From a young age, we were always the ones who took charge of planning family gatherings and celebrations, finding joy in every detail—whether it was arranging the flowers, setting the tables, or choosing the perfect color scheme. It wasn’t long before we realized that our shared passion could become something more.

We decided to turn our love for decor into a business, and that’s how TheK.O.Experience was born. With Kim’s background in nursing and Omosigho’s in health administration, we brought a unique blend of creativity, precision, and care to the table. Starting out wasn’t easy; we faced challenges like any new business, but our commitment to excellence and our unwavering belief in our vision kept us moving forward.

One of the pivotal moments in our journey was when an established event planning company took a chance on us. That collaboration not only gave us the exposure we needed but also validated our efforts and inspired us to keep pushing the boundaries of what we could achieve.

Today, TheK.O.Experience is known for creating unforgettable events that are as beautiful as they are meaningful. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to building TheK.O.Experience has been anything but smooth, but it’s those challenges that have shaped us and our business into what it is today.

One of the first hurdles we faced was balancing our demanding careers in healthcare with our passion for decor. Kim’s work as a nurse and Omosigho’s commitments in health administration and nursing left us with little time to focus on our startup. Juggling these responsibilities required a lot of late nights, early mornings, and careful time management. There were moments when it felt overwhelming, but our shared vision and determination kept us going.

Another challenge was establishing ourselves in the highly competitive events industry. As a new company, earning trust and building a client base wasn’t easy. We had to prove ourselves with every project, often going above and beyond to ensure that our work stood out. There were times when we questioned if we were on the right path, especially when faced with setbacks or slow periods. However, we learned to view these challenges as opportunities to grow and refine our skills.

Financial constraints were also a significant hurdle in the beginning. As a startup, resources were limited, and we had to be resourceful with our budgeting and investments. This taught us the importance of prioritizing and making strategic decisions that would benefit the business in the long run.

Despite these struggles, each obstacle taught us valuable lessons in resilience, creativity, and perseverance. Every challenge overcame, every tough decision made, has contributed to the success of TheK.O.Experience. We’re proud of the journey we’ve been on and grateful for the growth that has come from navigating the bumps along the way.
