Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Life has a way of taking us on unexpected journeys. For years, I worked a 9 to 5, hustling through the daily grind. But everything changed when I became a mom to my sweet boy, Luka. As he turned two, we learned that Luka had autism. Suddenly, my world shifted — he needed my attention and care more than ever.
It was this realization that enforced a decision I had been contemplating: to pursue my passion for photography full-time. Photography gave me the flexibility to be there for Luka, and to create a career that aligned with our family’s needs.
Now, I get to capture special moments for others while making sure I’m always present for my little one. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting my photography business wasn’t a simple journey, especially as a mom. The early days were filled with excitement, but also a lot of obstacles. Balancing the needs of my son Luka, who has autism, and the demands of building a business was overwhelming at times.
There were moments when I questioned if I could do it all—juggling photoshoots, editing late into the night, all while navigating Luka’s therapies and appointments.
But every challenge has been a lesson in patience and perseverance. I’ve had to learn to manage my time in ways I never expected, lean on my support system, and most of all, trust that hard work would pay off.
Running a business as a mom means accepting that some days will be messy, but it’s also about knowing why you’re doing it. For me, it’s about creating a life that works for my family while pursuing my passion.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m passionate about capturing moments that tell a story. As a photographer, I specialize in portraits, senior/graduation, family and lifestyle photography, and focusing on candid shots that highlight the genuine emotions and connections between loved ones. I’m known for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, allowing their true selves to shine through.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me to capture their most important moments. Whether it’s a milestone, a candid family moment, or a simple day in their life, I strive to create images that they’ll treasure forever.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people on a personal level. As a mom, especially to my amazing son Luka, I understand how precious time and family are, and I bring that care and attention to every shoot. It’s more than just photography for me — it’s about capturing memories that people will hold onto for a lifetime.
