Life & Work with Sai Ferrera of Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sai Ferrera.

Sai, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I moved to Dubai several years ago and began my career in marketing working for an agency. It was an exciting time, I was learning the ropes of brand strategy, creative campaigns, and storytelling for clients across fashion, lifestyle, and beauty. While doing that, I also started building my own digital presence on the side, creating content that expressed my love for aesthetics and brand storytelling from a personal lens.

What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into something bigger. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with many luxury and global brands, blending creativity with strategy in every project. My work has been recognized along the way — I was named Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Lifestyle Blogger of the year 2016 of the year and Stylist Arabia’s Fashion Blogger of the Year 2017which were both incredible milestones.

After more than a decade in Dubai, I’ve been fortunate to wear both hats, as a marketing and branding professional and as an award-winning content creator. That dual perspective allows me to approach every brand and campaign with both creative intuition and strategic precision.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, definitely not. It hasn’t been a straight road. There have been a lot of challenges along the way. Working abroad sounds glamorous, but it also comes with its own set of sacrifices. One of the hardest parts was building a career while being away from family and familiar support systems, it can get lonely at times.

There were also moments of uncertainty. In over a decade in Dubai, I’ve moved through different companies and roles, each transition teaching me something new but also testing my resilience. The industry itself is fast-paced and constantly evolving, so adapting became second nature.

But looking back, every challenge, whether it was navigating cultural differences, finding balance, or dealing with self-doubt has shaped how I approach both my work and my life. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been a journey of growth, grit, and self-discovery.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in branding, it’s really the heart of everything I do. Professionally, it’s my favorite part of marketing because it’s where strategy meets creativity. As Head of Marketing, I now oversee everything from branding and influencer marketing to creative direction, content creation, growth marketing, events, and PR. It’s a very holistic approach, but at the core, it always comes back to brand, how something looks, feels, and connects with people.

Before stepping into leadership roles, I was actually one of the first few influencers in Dubai. Back then, content creation was still new, and I became known for my aesthetic, for creating beautiful, well-composed photos and visuals. That passion for storytelling through visuals never left; I’ve just evolved it. Now, I bring that same creative eye into the brands I build and lead, making sure every campaign not only performs but also tells a story worth remembering.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I also take on project-based work, helping entrepreneurs build their personal brands or define how they want to present their businesses. I consult with companies on branding and creative direction as well. For collaborations or partnerships, you can reach me at prsaiferrera@gmail.com or on Instagram @saiferrera
