Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Camargo.

Hi Sara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
After Covid, I was looking for a career change. I had been in the fitness industry for 7years but the pandemic put things into a different perspective for me. After the gyms closed and I was able to reflect  I realized I was no longer passionate as I once was. Now that I had more time to learn what I really enjoyed and who I was outside of being a personal trainer, I rediscovered my creativity.

I just started the luxury picnic business on a whim trying to plan something for my birthday. I came across a picnic on my Facebook feed and thought how nice would this be? I decided to do it myself instead of hiring someone. And while buying the things I would need to make this luxury birthday picnic come to life, I decided to start a Luxury Picnic Business.

I have been in business since May 2021. I truly believe if it was not for the pandemic I would still be trapped in the fitness industry forcing something that no longer served me. I am so grateful to have the freedom to truly be myself, express my creativity, and plan events for people to make lasting memories.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a bumpy road! When I started my business last year it took off rather quickly. I of course learned through trial and error but was pretty satisfied with the start-up. After the winter months, we were back in business, or so I thought! We were faced with brutal weather conditions which slowed business significantly. Marketing during the extreme heat months was frustrating, but we finally got through it and now have a plan for next summer, so we don’t face the same hardships.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a Luxury Picnic Business owner, I coordinate small events and celebrations such as wedding engagements, birthday parties, anniversary date nights or any special occasion the customer desires! I provide small intimate settings for special occasions. I do all the planning and footwork so the client can enjoy the special day.

I am very careful and detailed in the planning process. I work very closely with the client and I do my best to personalize every picnic. I think one thing that sets me apart from other picnic businesses is my ability of free style creativity. I don’t try to do what everyone else is doing in the business. I have my own style, my own ideas and I treat every client like a best friend and not an invoice number.

Any big plans?
Actually, yes. New inventory, new packages, and rebranding are in order. These changes are being made to set the business up for plans in being skilled and specialized in wedding planning, micro weddings, elopements, and bachelorette parties.
