Today we’d like to introduce you to Saraida Thibodeaux.
Hi Saraida, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Dallas seven years ago, fresh out of college with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I started my career in IT at Microsoft, and eventually transitioned into sales, which gave me the flexibility to work from home. I was very tuned into climbing the corporate ladder and evolving as a corporate professional. I even graduated from YP Dallas from the Dallas Chamber to learn and help boost my corporate image.
Like many people, the pandemic was a turning point for me. During COVID, I started creating content on TikTok—mainly fun dance videos at first. Dancing had always been a big part of my life, especially during my college years in Miami, so it felt like a natural way to express myself.
As life evolved, so did my content. I started dating my now-husband, Jalen, and we launched a joint TikTok page where we jumped on fun trends together. Over time, we shifted into more personal content—vlogs, daily moments, and sharing our lives as we got more comfortable on camera.
Now, we create lifestyle content across multiple platforms and have built a community of over 650,000 followers combined. We have documented our lives from traveling across the US in an RV working remotely to buying a home and growing our family. We even share how we balance our corporate careers with content creation—it’s been an incredible journey blending both worlds.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. As you can imagine, balancing content creation with a full-time job at a tech giant, being a wife, and being a mom is no small feat. Each of those roles on their own can be exhausting. Put together, it’s a lot. Naturally, content creation often falls to the bottom of the list. I’ve struggled with finding time to edit videos, post across platforms, and truly engage with my community. But I’ve learned to be proud of whatever I am able to accomplish. I wear a lot of hats, and I’m doing a great job.
Another challenge I’ve faced is dividing content between my personal page and our family account. Recently, I combined pages and I’ve found so much peace since. A social media manager, Donnelle Branche, encouraged me to focus on just one page—and honestly, that advice was a game changer. Why run two accounts when my family and I are so intertwined? It instantly lifted a weight off my shoulders and saved me time. Less is more. And with how busy life is, I’m all about anything that saves time.
There are always going to be challenges, but I trust that things have a way of working out. I have a positive mindset and genuinely believe what’s meant for me will always find its way. I believe in karma and I put a lot of love and good energy into the world, so I’m happy to see that reflected back to me and remain confident that that energy will continue.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
These days, the type of content I create really depends on what’s going on in my life, which is why I describe my niche as “lifestyle.” It’s kind of the catch-all category, ironically, but it fits. I’ve really been enjoying how my vlogs have been turning out lately. If I had more time, I’d love to dive deeper into editing, adding more effects and custom touches. But even with the limited time I do have, I’m proud of what I’ve been able to put together. I like my editing style—it feels like me.
One of my favorite parts about creating content is that it’s something I get to do with my husband. Whether it’s vlogging or hopping on a fun trend, we have a blast doing it together—even the filming itself becomes part of the fun. I’m always signing him up for dance trends, and teaching him the moves leads to so much laughing (most of it off-camera!). Honestly, he’s one of the best parts of my content. He’s a natural comedian, and I always say I wish someone could follow him around just to capture everything he says because no one truly understands how funny he is except me.
Getting to share those little moments with my audience is something I genuinely love.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of time management. Right now, I’m on maternity leave, but with my return to work coming up, I know I need to be more intentional than ever about how I use my time. I’ve realized that my most productive hours are early in the morning — before the kids wake up and before the workday begins. So, my goal is to take full advantage of that 5–8AM window for my content creator tasks.
In a perfect world, I’d be able to get my workout in during that time and also make progress on my content. Before maternity leave, I was doing a good job of creating content before work, and I’m hoping to jump right back into that rhythm. Knocking out content early is a game-changer — it allows me to be fully present the rest of the day, especially after 5PM for my girls and family.
Content creation is real work. And the last thing I want is to be editing videos on my phone while trying to bond with my toddler. The best advice I can give to myself, and to anyone else juggling content creation with a full-time job and family life, is to get as much done in those early hours as possible. That way, you protect your evenings for what really matters.
